CLE 53 wheels? Looking to switch 20-in new black wheels for the same alloy wheels
I bought the beautiful CLE convertible as shown in the attached pictures.
I love the look of the car and it is beautiful and aggressive. However, I do not like the 20 inch black wheels. I am a fan of alloy and chrome wheels myself
Does anyone have the alloy version of these wheels they would like to switch for my black version of the wheels (bless my new tires)? My car as approximately 200 mi on it and no blemishes on the wheels. They have not been dinged or hit anywhere. Looking for alloy wheels of the same type in the same condition.
I have been told by many of the black wheels are in right now and that I don't know what I'm doing. However, I don't care!! I would really like to get the alloy version of the wheels.
Does anyone have the alloy version of the wheels in good condition who would be willing to exchanging with me for my black wheels with us keeping the same tires?? There is a tire store that's very well known name the America's tire / discount tire who would do the switch for us and we can retain our own tires. They can also confirm the tires are brand new.

Check ebay, I've seen them on there from time to time. Unfortunately, you won't be able to do a trade, but you can buy the ones you want and sell yours maybe.

You could get yours machined to remove the black on the spokes.
I think that's more complicated than it seems to be, but, if you want to look into that, a good friend of mine has a wheel repair/powder coat place that I think may be in your area, since you have an 818 phone number and it appears you bought it at Keyes, which is where I bought mine, my friends wheel place is baisically around the corner from Keyes in Van Nuys, Keyes actually has their storage lot almost across the street from his place. United Wheel Repair. Call and ask if they can help you. If not, at least you tried...

Thanks for your message. I think United Wheel repair does business with my cousin who owns Expert Auto Body right next to keys European in Van Nuys as well (have you heard of them?). Would you mind telling me what his name is? Also, do you know the process of how he would change these to alloy or polished?

His name is Scott, I'm not familiar with that particular body shop, luckily I don't generally need to use a body shop, and I don't live around there, I'm near Agoura Hills, but yeah, United does do alot of work for body shops around the LA/Ventura areas.
Honestly, I don't know much about how he does things, I know he's powder coated the wheels on 5 or 6 of my cars and straightened the wheels on my old 911 that I use to take to the track. Machining is a whole different thing though, he uses a CNC machine, but again, I don't know how it works, and your wheels have alot going on, so it may be difficult, but ask him. If he can do it, let me know, I may want to do the same on my wifes Audi that he painted the wheels black on.

I originally posted this. I found a place that made my wheel look exactly the way I wanted. They also fix dinged and dented rims. The name is United Wheel Repair in Van Nuys California. Is your excellent work. I got the finish I wanted plus it still has some black in it. I think it looks 10 times better than before. I don't like black wheels

I ended up finding a shop that does powder coating and changed the finish of the black wheels (which I disliked and t wanted to trade) to the stock wheels which still have black accents.
Here are the pictures of how my car look now with the new Wheels. Hopefully I did not have to find someone to trade the wheels with and I did not have to buy new Wheels. I think the car looks much much better now. I don't know how black rims became the norm because they make every car look similar. Plus, I'm old school and used to get chrome rims feeding back to my Honda's and then Lexus's I owed in the '90s. From 2000 on, it was all Mercedes.
That looks much better. I too am old school - I hate all black wheels.
I completely agree. I come from the old school 90s days of Chrome. I can't stand block rims. Thank God I was able to change them. They are not Chrome now, but they look 100 times better in my opinion
