Does anyone know where I can find information of all the "RECALLS" on a 2002 W208 CLK CAB? My car's warranty is about to expire, got another 2 months on it. So I want to identify all possible problems and fix it before I have to start paying for it. thanks.

i think you can either call up mercedes and given them your vin# or go to the dealer and do the same...it should pull up any open campaigns on the car

Hey Bklynbenz, Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I tried it and it requests for a subscription to a membership for $14.95 in order to view the data. Do you happen to have another website where we don't have to pay? Or do you happen to know a password that I can use to view my vehicles information? thanks man.

there's one recall on the harmonic balancer...call up the dealer and ask about Service Campaign #2005-020003

nope, dunno of any others. i think if its a recall, they're supposed to fix it for free no matter what. the alldata site shows up fine over here...try going to http://www.alldata.com/recalls/ then picking 2002 in the left dropdown box

nah hes talking about if you click on the individual bulletins it asks you for dough.

one time i just printed that list out and brought it to the dealer and had him check the service records and make sure everything was up to date and it was. lots of times the service dept will perform TSB's and recalls without you even knowing about it, its their obligation.

Get your tranny services early and ask to see if you can extend your warranty...or just get the extended warranty...believe me..if I had the chance I would have done it..great cars but a ***** to get fixed when you dont have MB backing you....

Does the dealer have access to work history of each vehicle? My warranty ends this august too, and... let's just say I don't necessarily trust the dealers word when it comes to stuff they should have fixed.

Yes, any dealer can print a VMI for any Mercedes. They're supposed to ask to see your registration before they give this to you. The VMI (Vehicle Master Inquiry) will list all the maintenance that Mercedes has performed, all warranty service, any recall work, the date that the car was put into service, and the original/optional equipment specs. This document should be a requirement for anyone considering a used Benz.
