Solved: DIRECT LINE ipod integration for non-fiber systems!

Ok, this has been a problem on here for some time. Alot of guys have wanted a cheap way to integrate an ipod with a non-fiber optic (pre 99) system without using a tape adapter or FM modulater because of the crappy sound quality these produce. After a lot of looking, i found a way to do it. Here it is...

This unit plugs into the spot where you CD changer goes, and then plugs into your ipod on the other end. Most people i have spoken with have not been too reluctant to give up their CD changer since an ipod holds more than any CD changer in existence. I have not had the time to install mine yet because of school and internship interviews, but will do a full writeup sometime next weekend.

Here's the website i used to buy it. This is the only place i've found it, in your order instructions say that i (king320) referred you. He'll be able to keep track of demand for MB products this way, and might even give us a forum discount at some point. Anyways, here are the links...

You can also buy this dock, i have been told it is compatable with the cable above.

This will work on all stereos that look like this

Yeh, fiber systems are relatively easy to do. enfigcarstereo.com has stuff for them too.

You could try a Digisette. It looks like a cassette, and in your car, it plays like a cassette. However, it's really an MP3 player. No wires hanging all over, no mods to the existing head unit, and no FM converter needed. Click on the picture to see a larger verson.

Just turn it on and slip it into the cassette deck. They play MP3 and WMA formats. They're sold for under $50 on ebay. For about double the money, you could get a Mobiblu DAH220, which has more RAM, will recognize a larger MMC card, has auto on, FM, and does voice recording.

Thats pretty cool, but i have an ipod video already. alot of guys on here have ipods too, the wires wont be too big a deal once i get the cradle. How many songs does it hold? It looks like it runs on SD cards.

Some of the universal ones might work if the fiber unit has AUX ins. I know there are fiberoptic systems out there, try google.
