Searched, but no real info on changing the door speakers
Wish I had pics, but even a good diy tutorial would do. Nothing really informative came up in search.

What do you need help with? I just removed my driver door panel yesterday, which people always seem to have a fear of doing it seems. If you have questions about the actuall install I may be able to help.

Oh cool then. All you'll need is a phillips screw driver, flat head screw driver and anything made of thin ridged plastic. I try and post pics of how to remove the door panel.
Pry the inner door handle off (big one used to close the door from inside). Remove screw behind it.
Use a flat head screw driver. Stick between the top gap where the arm rest is and gently twist.
The little SRS cap needs to be removed. Remove screw behind it
I used a small flat head screw driver. gently pry off the cap.
Almost done.
The little chrome plate on the door has three little screws. remove those only. The chrome plate does not need to come off.
Use something made of small rigid platic and slide on the under side of the door panel. Gently pry the door panel apart every couple inches.
Once all the clips are out*. Lift up and away and the door panel should come right off. *Left and Right verticle edges of the door panel and bottom edge.
Two wires to disconnect.
1. A wire clip from behind the panel to seat control buttoms. Unclip that.
2 On the very bottom of the door panel is a little tiny light. It has to little wires connect to it. Unclip those two little wires.
BTW make sure the window is down. Simply swing the door panel up so that it rests on the window seal.
The speakers use phillips screws. Remove those and the rest I'm sure you can fugure out. It should take about 5 minutes to remove the panel.

Oh that would be GREAT. I pulled my comp system out of my IS300 when I sold it and I have Focal 6.5 components for the front stage.
I spent too much on that and I'd love to reuse it all. I was just worried about the front being 5 1/4 because they sounded so terrible.
I have a Mcintosh double din (was never sold in stores) for a head unit, focal components, MB Quart DVC ten's, Audio Control EQT's, Audio Control crossovers, PPI ART amps, and a fwe other goodies I'd like to stick in the Benzo. It was a top shelf SQ system so it'll fit well with the Benz theme.

By the way, there is a good review currently on eBay about Denon Z1 (same as mine) head unit

Old-school Kicker is much different from nowadays Kicker and first of all because in the recent years Kicker itself was sold to somewhere in Korea or alike but used to be Kicker amps were 100% US made (their old motto - "America's Music Machines") and made very well.
Kicker ZR1000 amplifier was Kicker's top of the line, best amplifier with a list price over $1200, which is quite not cheap, if you agree, for any two-channel amp.
But most important, this amp is simply ))) THUNDER ((( - honestly. Ears can't handle its full volume if you seat in a car. And quality is great too. After all, don't forget its only work is to produce low frequencies from 25 to 80 Hz.
But anyway, check out the reviews here:

Finally, about my Kicker C15VR subwoofers. Of course there are more expensive subwoofers around but will they sound any better? Not necessary. In most cases, the only difference between $200- and $2000-subwoofer is the power that it can handle but again these C15VRs can handle much more than I. And their sound quality is

assure you it is only because you have never heard old-school Kicker.
![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Too bad we never did any 208's. I wouldn't have even needed to ask the original question.
You're biasing yourself towards kicker because you had them from your old car. Finish that system off with some Focal's or something

Doesn't mean I don't like it, but no one can kid themselves about ANY kicker product against the big top 5.
