Not to sure but check the fuse, have somebody try to wiggle it around while pressing the button also.

You might have to break out the sledge, or raise the other one and get used to them being up!

I'm just sad that this site turned out to be useless. I thought it might be from all the threads I read.

Just sad,

Go Away

Sorry for the guy who also has the problem and the one who said try the fuse. The rest of you - what's the point. It's just odd you waste time posting crap to peoples questions.

The moderator should just cut you off.

Wow man...relax a bit... I am truly sorry we can't help you with all of your problems... This has never happened to me...but everything that has happened so far I dealt with using this site as a valuable resource...made a few suggestions to other members and helped them solve their problems. Did you try searching the forum for more info?

oops

I guess I did just turn into a jerk, or worse.

It's just that a few of these problems drive me crazy - and mercedes will look at the headrest for me for about $300.

I'll keep working at it.

Not entirely a lie. I've seen better organized sites, that is for sure. No FAQ's stickied to the top, no definitive answers in most of the threads searched, just guesses. Ironically most of the helpful threads are the ones linked to BENZworld where the real answer usually lies. That one always makes me chuckle.

This is a good site however, and lot's of good people on it, most from Benzworld also (I have noticed) since the two sites usually get double posted when someone makes a thread (you can usually get poker machine odds that it'll be on benzworld also, posted directly behind the thread here).

This site needs an FAQ at the top of this forum for the W208 with links. That would help for one. It needs to contain things like bulb size information for every bulb in the car, links to DIY repairs, a combination of all the body kit's available for the W208, wheel specs, offsets, etc....

***************
NOW, let me get to the issue of the headrests. If you fold your rear seats down, the carpet laying over the area where the seats lock in can be pulled up to reveal the locking system for the headrests. You should note that you MAY have to remove the sides to get to a small plastic push in tab that MAY hold the carpet. I see a spot for them on the carpet when I pulled mine back, but mine did not have them and I simply pulled the carpet back as seen below. The deck lid need not be removed.

It just wraps around the metal there underneath, the sides of it will also pull out. You'll see the mechanism for your headrests, and an actuator bar that controls the lift of the headrest. If you look closely enough you'll figure out how to trigger the lock to release the headrest.
