yup u can put a 55 box onto a 430....and im guessin a 430 box onta a 55 ?...prob wudnt recommend it tho lol............u hafta change the hoses to the AMG hoses as well....i think some users hav been able to force the 430 hoses onto the AMG box sumhow tho....i personally wudnt try that way tho....

I ask because I found a few c43 air boxes on a site, they say they will fit the clk55 which will fit the clk 430 for a small performance increase.

so... yes?

ma bad...i misread c43 for clk430.........but i think i remember hearin that the c430 box fits the 430 too

If so I think i just found a new place to get the clk55 air box for MUCH cheaper then factory new......

So, if the CLK55 box is practically the same as the 430 box, what is the point? What other intake modifications can you do to get better throttle response?

There is a difference between the CLK430 air box and the CLK55. Josh K, who says he did a before and after dyno and only changed the air box, went from 216 HP/232 TQ to 234 HP/245 TQ.

The ME 2.0 cars and the 2.8 cars appear to produce different dyno numbers.

Current: AMG GT-C. Sold: 01 CLK55, 00 ML55, 01 ML55, 06 E55
No. The best place is Duval Motor Cars. It's in FL and they're usually a little cheaper than oem parts. I buy all my stuff there now. The people are helpful also.
