CLK430 finally

greetings,

changed my 'old' clk320 to this one... after many tries for adding more power which failed (c32 supercharger and s500 engine), still totally stock with #1 pads in front only, lots of mods coming... i have searched alot to find a clk V8, in lebanon beirut its very hard to find a v8 Mercedes, i found 2 other clk430s and a clk 55 amg which all had salvage history, but thank god i came across mine which had a clean title!!!

btw how much city mpg do you guys/gals do?

MPG will completely depend on who your gas supplier is. Every octane and gas is different from country to country, but I seem to get around 27 mpg in my CLK 430.

Tang....It seems to get lucky 20-21mpg high way/free way combined on my 3.2 . You really get 27mpg? Are you 4 cylinders or you are hybrid?

Hersh,
My computer said 22.7 (mpg) when I got back to MD. Top speed coming back was 110 on 95 in upper MD (dangerous po-po spot). A nice white 330i Beemer was rollin with me but i lost him in traffic *LOL*. Really nice meetin up with you. Now i need a can and stand at the traffic light and hit ppl up for cash when the light is red!

+1

Highway crusing at 75mph, my CLK55 will return this mileage as well. Normal for me is 20mpg around town and 26 highway. Achieving 27mpg takes judicious use of the go-pedal.

I just can't achive that number

Maybe 20mpg + 7 miles on a tow truck would make me run 27mpg

My 320 gets 24 mpg city and between 28 and 30 highway (30 on a long trip or really good day) no joke, average 24.4 on computer.

I've done it. Averaged about 70 MPH for 6+ hours coming back to SoCal from NoCal and got 28+ MPG.

70MPH is not babying it and over 400 miles makes for a good distance for averaging.
