Clk crashes into a police officer on the highway
I saw this on another forum and was impressed by how well the clk did in the accident, the safety cell is almost perfectly intact, the crown victoria....eh not so much, it's really a testament to how well these cars are made.
Unfortunately no props to the clk driver because he was cited for a dui, the cop was rammed into his steering wheel and was unconscious, a firefighter driving by saved him, but he's in critical condition. gg ford for making such a pos.

yeah it looks like it, my bad.
edit: Doesn't really matter, the point is that the safety cell on the clk is basically still in one piece, the chevy got creamed that's for sure.
edit2: here's the articles http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&sa...-8&sa=N&tab=wn, they say he was going 75mph, if that's true it doesn't really matter that he hit an impala or a crown vic, the clk is still intact which shows how well made they are. The impala and clk weigh basically the same amount. Not sure exactly what your point is?
edit3: Here's a taurus rear ending a crown vic, doesn't look much better than the impala imo, the driver probably would have faired better the safety cell is practically non-existant thou, wouldn't want to be in the rear seat lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTfL5...eature=related

It sounds like the cop in the impala is in critical condition, but the driver of the clk suffered minor injuries.
According to Newsday, Lt. Kevin Smith said that Baribault suffered severe head trauma and had broken bones in both his upper and lower torso. The officer was operated, as he also had a blood clot in his brain. He remains unconscious and his condition is still critical.
The driver of the Mercedes was Rahiem Griffin, 27, who had a suspended license. He was also taken to the hospital but with minor injuries. Griffin was charged with driving while intoxicated.
