OT: A sad day - My beloved S320 totalled today!!
Today 5/25/09 my beloved S320 was totalled. I was rear ended by a Chevy 2500 pick up at a stop light. He slid 50ft and knocked me another 30 feet. He crushed the right rear of the car bending the frame. His truck had to be towed away I drove mine away.
I was on my way to a special detail so I was in uniform. The look on his face when a uniformed police officer got out of the car he just hit was priceless!!!
I am OK!! very sore and stiff. The impact bent the drivers seat a good 6 inches. The car performed perectly. Had I been in anything smaller and less well built I am sure the outcome would have been much worse.

WOW it sounds like the impact was really powrefull. Bent the seat!!! I'm happy you are OK. I'm sure you have seen many car crashes having been a police officer. In addition, the person writing the report will most likely took your word over what happened than the other guy.
