Eibach with 20 ich Wheels.. Need help...

Hi,

May I put Eibach springs with 20" wheels ? or Will be able the tires to scrape in the can? I need change my springs, but I need know which is better O.E.M or Eibach. Remember, I have 20" wheels.

Thanks...

Williams will probably be the best person to answer this question since he runs 20's on his CLK.

Gregory,

Yes, I know. But Williams use H&R kit. I need know about Eibach. I know the Eibach lowered 1.2", but it's possible run without problem with 20" wheels ?!... That's the question...

you will be fine with Eibach springs because they don't lower the car as much as H&R

the real question is what are your tire sizes and the offsets on the wheels and aslo what are the widths on the wheels?

you'll be fine with those specs

you might rub on top with the fronts when you take a big dip or bump but nothing that's going to mess up your car

CLK FAN,

I have other question, What is it PAD#3 / PAD#2 ??? I put the Eibach and the front was very lowered and I want a little more high, because here in Brazil the road it's not like in California.

Thanks again for your attention...

The only way you can tell your original pad is to actually feel them to see how many nubs is on it. All are different depending on what the factory put on yours.

Vizionclk430,

I know that the rear are 4 nubs and the front are 5 nubs. I called to Dealer and they told me that has 5 sizes: 5mm, 9mm, 13mm, 17mm and 21mm. But, I don't have idea what size is 4 and 5 nubs.

Do you have any sugestion Vizionclk430 or anyone?

This info is from marcus f on an old thread again the # one pad is the thinnest and this has the part # for when you go to the dealer

There is no universal 'stock pad'. Mercedes-Benz makes pads in these sizes: 5, 9, 13, 17, and 21 mm and they designate them in their part #'s by numbering them 1 (thinnest), 2, 3, 4, and 5 (thickest). The pads installed on a particular car are based on the equipment that came with that car. For example, a fully equipped 2002 CLK430 convertible probably has a different spring pad than a base 1998 CLK320 coupe. You can reach in and feel the number of bumps on the pad to determine which one your car currently has. The number of bumps will match the pad number.

Front:
210-321-01-84 5mm
210-321-02-84 9mm
210-321-03-84 13mm
210-321-04-84 17mm
210-321-05-84 21mm

Rear:
210-325-01-84 5mm
210-325-02-84 9mm
210-325-03-84 13mm
210-325-04-84 17mm
210-325-05-84 21mm

I hope that helps.
