Transmission Fluid Change & TC flush, parts ???

Re. Year 2000 CLK 430 Cabriolet

Looking for parts on the net. Want to be certain to get the right ones. Can anyone kindly give me the OEM part numbers for the gasket, filter, magnet, dipstick tool. Especially the magnet--can't find it anywhere.

Here are the parts for Transmission Fluid Change & TC flush: Transmission 722.623

Fluid (15 Qts.): Valvoline MaxLife ATF $4.99 (Recommended replacement by MB, Replaces MB OEM Fluid, $18.99 OEM Part # 001989210310)

Drain Plug Seal Washer, OEM Part # 1402710060

Pan Gasket: Need MB part #

Pan Filter: Need MB part #

Pan Magnet: Need MB part #

Dip Stick Tool: Need MB part #

Thanks

PS. Please, no grief on the fluid. See posting #62 in the following link:

Transmission pan gasket - part number 140-271-00-80
Transmission oil filter - part number 140-277-00-95
Transmission fluid measuring tool - part number 140-589-15-21
I think you'll need a new lock pin - part number 140-991-00-55

Isn't the magnet cleaned and reused?

Yes no need to replace the magnet. Also the dipstick can be purchase through AST...may be cheaper.

Thanks for the #s.
I still need the magnet part number for this trans (722.6xx). Am not replacing magnet. Am installing one. In another example of brilliant German engineering, the same Poindexters that have since backed off the lifetime trans fluid concept, also chose to assemble this trans without the magnet.
If you have the magnet number, then I would greatly appreciate your help.
Again, thanks.

I think it will, but the filter should still be replaced and the magnet cleaned. Personally, I’ll just pay my dealer. Their labor charges are minimal and I hate doing a transmission service.

The last post on the R129 forum is from a guy who snapped off ALL six studs. The manual says 8 Nm.

What other additional job(s) or inspection(s) should I do?

Now I'm confused. Some one gave me another # for the magnet. Must be different MB magnets for different applications.

Pan Magnet OEM Part # 220-271-00-98 or A169-371-00-03 ???

Another question: Have heard/read about some other job to be done at same time as dropping the pan. Something about a seal on an electical fitting leaking and trans fluid migrating up the electrical line.

What other additional job(s) or inspection(s) should I do?

Again,
Thanks

Sounds like the infamous "transmission wiring harness o-ring job". Mine has been done, and the o-ring itself literally costs two dollars. I'll have to look up the procedure tonight when I get home, but if my "on the road notes" are correct, the part number is 1402710060 and it cost $2.09 retail in July of 2008.

Yes you could replace that at the same time(connector that is). The 169 part nmber magnet superseades the 220 part number. If you go to order the 220 one they will give you the 169 one.

I actually have an extra , brand new AST dip stick for the 722.6 tranmission, still wrapped in the plastic. I paid $52 shipped for it.

$45 shipped, and it's yours.

I don't want to hijack this topic, so I have made another posting Re. the AT Adapter Plug.
