EITHER ALIGNMENT OR ROTOR OR BALL JOINT ..I KNOW THOSE 3 CAUSES THE CAR TO VIBRATE.
MINE IT USED TO VIBR BELOW 70 AND ABOVE 70 SMOOTH .

I have the same problem and my mechanic told me it's the suspention springs that need to be replaced since my car has been lowered and it's not with the original springs.could it be that causing the wheel shaking?

99CLK320,
suspention springs???? that makes no sense what so ever. Also check out the steering damper. Its like a little shock absorber on the idler arm. an often overlooked fix by MarcusF, the steering box can loosen up and the mounting points/bolts are on the inside of the left wheel. remove the wheel and you should see them. I remember seeing a pic on this forum.

99CLK320,
strut is attached, NOT Big Mike, our cars do not have struts. they have control arms, ball joints as you said and shocks. struts as they are commonly referred to are McPhearson struts where the shock, spindle and spring are all one piece.
