dohcfiend...I need an answer man

I have PM'd you quite a few times now and I know that you have been on the board since then. I need to know where my parts are and if you even shipped them. If they have not been shipped then please send me my refund through paypal. I didn't want to call you out on the forum but you havent answered my PM's.

It not that simple unless he pay for an item on Ebay (with Ebay Id numbers). If you used Paypal to do a private or off Ebay site, then Paypal will not be responsible for anything. If you used Paypal and pay with your credit card, then your credit card will find and refund your money. Both situation has happen to be.

If something bad has happened that has prevented him from shipping it then I will COMPLETELY understand. I am not trying to smash the guys rep, I am just trying to find out the status of my parts.

DOHC: If a family emergency has kept him from completing the sale then PLEASE just email me and keep me informed. If you are out of town and cant get to the part then just refund me the money through paypal. I do not hold grudges and in the end all will be cool.

Just let me know...either way it goes.

You always have a claim through paypal. Regardless if you buy through eBay or not. You could always open a dispute. The only time you can't is when you send a payment as a gift. Hopefully is doesn't have to come to that, but make sure you open the dispute within your 45 day limit.

That is very accurate information Greg, dyno is correct. the receiver of the payment has to provide paypal with tracking number and if the transaction was more than $250 has to provide signature confirmation to be protected by the seller protection program guranteed by paypal. otherwise you are fully covered under buyer protection of paypal. hope this gets resolved fast and easy but like Dyno said beaware of the 45 day windoe that you have.

I appreciate the help... I have waited long enough for an answer and can only assume that there is no intent on communicating with me or sending me my stuff. I have made a claim through Paypal so you all were absolutely correct about making the claim.

Still rather have my stuff but I guess this is the option I am stuck with.

Yes you can filed a claims and I did filed a claims through paypal but that's what they told me after 30 day they investigated.

Yea, there are always different circumstances with every case. I have found though, after escalating a dispute to a claim, you could call Paypal and speak to a claim specialist. This has helped me resolve a few cases not only in my favor, but in less time also.

In the OP's case, a dispute for 'non-receipt' should not be denied. If the seller does not provide tracking info to paypal, they automatically decide in the buyers favor.

I did talked to a specialist also on this case and they couldn't help me. I pay for a 2004 CL 55 newer version tailights and got the old version taillights.

FWIW: this is why I ALWAYS use a credit card when buying anything from anybody or company over the net. If ebay or Paypal won't back you up you always have the credit card company to file a dispute. I even received a defective product once which I shipped back(at my expense)with a return receipt so I knew they got it back. all I had to do was provide copies of the correspondence between myself and the seller and the signed shipping receipt to Visa that I shipped it back and I got my money back from Visa and Visa went after the seller.

That sucks. I have a couple questions. What was the exact reason that you used when you opened the dispute? Did you ship the incorrect lights back? Did you have a tracking # if you did? This has happened to me also and I have always received my money back.

I follow the same process of returning the item and I have never had a problem through paypal. As long as you have proof, you're protected.
I told them that they ship the incorrect tailights. I even give Paypal the link on Benzworld classified that showed it the wrong tailights. This were a private party and not a company so it alot harder for Paypal trying to get the money back from them. I learned my lessons to NEVER pay it cash or debit card. Last time I used my credit card and got my money back even before my credit card start the investigation.

The guy stop answer my e-mail the moment I send my 1st e-mail asking him why I got the wrong tailights and not the one in the picture. I even have the guy home phone and spoke to him MOM about it. I asked Paypal if i need to sent it back for him to refund my money and they said let them investigated it first. I guess they never got a hold of him either.

That's why they were unable to issue the refund. Regardless of what they say, you can't possibly expect them to refund you when you still have the product. I'm pretty confident that if you would've sent the lights back and had some type of proof, you would have received your refund. I feel for you though, it's tough to lose that money. Did you at least sell the lights?

I understood what you're saying in general how can I expect a refund without the return parts but that's not the reason for why paypal said they couldn't refund the money. Anyway, I didn't try to resell but give it to the new owner 4 tailights (2 from my original) because I end up bought another newer version tailights for the CL.

ALL: Item was just received in the mail about an hour ago!!! DOHC I appreciate you sending the item and hope all is well on your end. Once again, all is well now the item was actually sent out 2 days prior to my original post so there never really was an issue except for no contact from him via email or PM.

I feel kind of bad that I blasted this out now without waiting but I had been wronged before and thought it happened again.

DOHCFIEND was a great seller after all!!!!!!!!!
