W208 - AC Problems have me flummoxed
Hello all,
Can someone with a little more knowledge than me take a look at these codes and let me know if something is wrong? 2002 CLK 3230 coupe w/ 135K miles. EC button works fine, clutch and compressor seem fine, blower controls are fine, but all I get is slightly cool air. Not cold, but you can tell it's cooler than with the EC button engaged. It does NOT appear to be a freon issue.

You may still be a little low on R34. My codes came out good and I was low; had the same issues as you do.
Also, you don't want to use the EC button when using the AC. The EC button stands for "economical" and CUTS your AC compressor off. It's good to use for the heater.

Thanks Jim, I've figured the same...there is a temperature difference that is enough to indicate the system is operating correctly so I'm going to get it recharged. As for the EC button, I know what it's used for and I was trying to say that I know it was not engaged and/or stuck. I appreciate your response.
Marcus: That is definitely something I've considered. I plan to clean it tonight and see if that helps at all before recharging. Thank you as well for the response.

Thanks again everyone, it indeed turned out to need a freon charge. I held my breath because the numbers looked good, but it's blowing cold. 126 bucks for a recharge is freakin' ridiculous, but what can I do?
I appreciate the responses, guys, and hope I can help you in some way in the future.
