MAF issue Codes 170 and 173 2000 clk430 Is this MAF on Ebay legit?
I've removed and cleaned my MAF Sensor but the check engine light always eventually comes back on so I figured it is time to buy a new one. I've been told these can cost upwards of $150.00 however I found a new one on Ebay for 1/5 of the price. Does this look like a legit sensor, or have you guys heard bad things about non factory replacement parts?

Also, anything other than the MAF sensor that could cause the "170 and 173 'fuel trim'" code at the local auto store?
Thanks

Trust me and forget those nasty MAF's I have bought two form ebay and they failed after 4 weeks. The MAF is a critical component and you need the original quality if you want smooth running, no stalls fuel efficiency and for it to lasst the next 8- 10 years.
You mentioned that you thought the MAF's cost upwards of $150, sorry but you may want to add another $100 to that... ($250 +).
If you dont beleive me just google cheap MAF's or use this forum and you'll soon see that your wasting your money.

Before you order, be sure that the air cleaner is securely seated into the MAF housing....lower the rear...seat it...then lower front onto the clips (rather than starting in the front and pressing down in the rear).

Good point, there is also there should be enough flex in the hose to menover the MAF so you shouldnt need tools. PS make sure that the air hoses are clear of oil contamination otherwise your new MAF will soon get damgaged again.
