Suspension question

I have put four new shocks in my car why is it that the right rear feels like it's still the old shock When I go over bumps you can feel it when I go over small potholes it still bangs nothings changed with the new shocks It just seems like the right rear is not changed at all still a bad ride

Did you replace them yourself or did a suspension shop do it?

Sounds like the shocks weren't the problem. There should not be a "bang" type noise when passing over potholes. You may want to closely inspect the rear subframe.

The frustration with htis is finding the problem the 1st time and not changing 4 parts. 1st it is all on the right side then at 12 -25 there is a wobble right rear and vibration when going 50 to 80. When hitting the brake to slow done right rear pulsation worse when on the highway braking.

1 So is its a rear rotor why the wobble 12-25 mph and vibration over 45 and up rim?
2 is it a bad rim why the pulsation
3 bad tire again why puslation when braking
4 bad rear end parts or links why no tire wear tire look great asn vibration over 45 mph
I am dying to know hat part to change.
I have 12 year plus knowlege of fixing my cars last car was a BMW I did the whel front end on my own, I never needed a machanic but this one is drive me nuts and I dont want to spend 500 buy parts til i get it right rim 100 tire 100 links and alignment 200 rotor 50

Mystery solved

Okay this is funny rear Rear shock turns out the tire shop put 38 pounds of pressure in my tire on the right side and the left was a 32 psi there's the rough ride. Now the pulsating turns out the tires upfront have flat spots what happened was the owner stored the vehicle over the winter outside but never moved the car once in a while The flat soft spots cause the wobbly feeling when going 15 to 40 miles an hour So now all is we have to do is get two new tires and we should be all set, The end result is sometimes we look too hard for problem when it's something very simple

I was also a Tech for 12 years, my guess would be to check the right rear wheel for any damage. Next if no damage is found check the tire to see if it may have any bulges or visible damage. then move on to the hub assembly, potholes can kill a hub on an IRS system. Had this happen to my conquest TSI-R years ago. Next look for any play in the control arm (bushings). And of course check to make sure the shock is secure. The vibration is due to either an out of roand or unbalanced tire or a bent hub assembly. hopew this helps. and good luck i know that this can be very frustrating.

I don't think highway*read my previous post carefully it turns out it was something stupid tires were mounted on my car about a month ago and until now I didn't really notice how bad the ride was it turns out it was close the 38 pounds of pressure on the right side tire and 32 on the left rear hence a stiff sensitive ride once I brought it down to 30 till the air was perfect the front tires Front tires have flat spots from the previous owner letting it sit for so long that's also causing Pulsating because when you spin the wheel every time he comes to the flat spot you can hear the Pads scrape against the disk. So the plan is rare tires go up front front tires replaced by a new snows and we see what happens
