Check engine reset
Hello, is there any way to reset check engine indicator without diagnostics tools ? Check engine went on because of missfiring i fixed that problem, but check engine is still on.

Have to agree with cindyclk.
When it's a OLB II emissions issue, after a successful repair and 3 cold starts, the CEL will turn off.
However, that occurring , if you're due for a state emissions test, there are additional sensors that need to change to 'ready' in order to pass. After a successful repair, it will take a couple of hundred miles of additional driving to reset the sensors (even though your CEL is off).
If your CEL hasn't turned off after at least 3 cold restarts. that indicates that the necessary repair is still pending.
Alternatively, you can clear the trouble code, with most OBDII scanners and see if the CEL reoccurs.
Hint: Miss-fires are not always due to just spark plug condition.

Miss firing in my experience is usually not the plugs but an ignition coil.
What car have you got ? If its a 200 or 230 then you will have two ignition coils one per pair of plugs.

Just about every automotive parts supply store has a OBDII code scanner. As a free service, they will scan your codes and clear them, if requested.
