Airbag Warning light has come on

Hi,

After a winter of tinkering with the car, I have put the car back together again and everything works apart from 2 things.
1. SRS Light has come on.
2. The Heated seats don't work.

The drivers side door was replaced.
I took the passenger seat and the drivers seat out and tried to fix the squeek in the passenger seat by taking it to bits.
The battery was disconnected for weeks.

2 high powered mechanics have tried to clear the code and failed.

Is there something in the seat that could stop the Airbag from working?

Thanks in advance

If the SRS system is fully functional, the SRS MIL (instrument cluster malfunction light) should turn off after 4 seconds.

Does your SRS MIL thereafter turn off after 2 minutes?

the only real way to determine the real story is to get a DAS scan. All else sell the car

Hang tight. It could be something as simple as the SRS plug. When you put the seats back together, did you make sure you plugged in all applicable harnesses (properly)? If the SRS sensor in the seat can't tell if there is weight on the passenger seat, it will throw a code every time. Check the easiest things first.

That's a really good idea. I'll do that first before I take the door to bits to check for (self-inflected) damage to the wiring loom.
