Part out, junk, or pull key parts and junk
Hello,
I have a 2001 clk430 I had kept for parts although it ran but had high mileage 250k and need a lot of service. I took apart the front end bumper and other components.....don't feel like reassembling.
I now have a nice designo 2001 clk 430 cabriolet but need the garage space and am problally going to junk the black 2001.
Should I just junk it.... body is clean except bumper, part it out, or pull certain parts i may need like signal reflectors [all i can think of since one signal reflector housing on the convertible won't stay and I can swap them.out and the passenger rear view mirror turn reflector has a crack [caused by the tow or mechanic]
I think I changed the plugs and wires on the part car. Actually I bought another cabriolet 430 4 years back cheap at auction slavage w flood damage for parts and it was in better shape then the black 430...

I have a similar issue. I am looking into getting rid of my 2002 CLK.
Anybody knows where or how to get the most for it? The state only gives me like 500 bucks and local places about 700. It runs, plates are up to date but it has alot of little issues that I believe would be a hassle to repair.

if I were to part out the car, what does one do with what's left? can it still be sold? I dont want to have a block of metal in my garage.

Is the interior rear deck (below the rear window), where the two speakers are, the same on a w208 430 coupe and 55 AMG coupe?
Looking to customize that rear deck with one from a parts car and I am wondering if I could use one from a 430 for a 55 AMG.
