W208 - Window not dropping
My passenger windo has decided to stop lowering and raising when opening the door, is this just the ddor switch, windo switch or new power windo motor needed, any one know???

my 1998 CLK has NEVER raised and lowered its window when i open and closed the door....is this normal or is this a problem? I know the SL does it, and BMW coupes do it. Also sometimes the passenger door window doesnt sit flush against the weather stripping and causes wind noise until i lower and raise the window from inside the car.

try to rest your windows. your owners manual explain how to re programe your windows. I can not remember it , but somthing like keep pushing your windows buttons for 2 or 10 seconds . somthing like that.

yes anyone that odn't know my car closes the door and never gets it right the first time... mine is a 2000 CLK320... and it doesn't lower or raise... to fix this problem... i sometimes just pop up the sunroof and it makes it so much easier to close the door...

This must have started late 2000 model year. If someone has a 2000 320 CLK (that the windows lower/raise) please post the date/year on the sticker in the driverside door. Other than that I think it started in 2001.

I just found out that these cars are supposed to do this!
My 2001 CLK55 does not do this. I tried re-sync-ing the windows but that didn't help. I'm sure it's supposed to because the manual says so, and it is the newer model w/ the blinking mirrors and stuff...
Any ideas?

Now what happen was, that it reset itself after one day of closing through the passenger side.
The car does have the feature, where the window will automatically drop a millimeter or so, to allow for air to escape and the door to close properly.
Hope this helps.

When I recently changed the battery. The window (driver's side) would drop down an inch when the door was openned. I had to get out of the car, get back in through the passenger side raise the window, then turn off engine. The steelership said is was the motor, and would cost 5 to 6 hundred dollars. Big surprise.
