I saw spy pics of an E cabriolet with a cloth top on the AutoWeek website . I had heard that it was only coming out as a convertible hardtop but it looks much better as a ragtop. No one will confuse that one with a Honda.

its funny how everybody talks crap when they see pics of a car that hasn't been released yet, but once they see it in real life they fall in love with it, just my 2 cents. i hated the W211 E-class when it first came out and same with the current model ML but now i love both cars!

2008 CLK550 Cabrio
The current CLK is in a class of each own. It is smaller than the "New" one but that is how I like it. If I wanted an E-Class I would have bought an E-Class. A bigger car looses on agility compared to a smaller body counterpart. For example compare the SLK 350 with the older SL 500, the SLK was running circles around the SL, I know I owned an SLK. The new E-Class Coupe looks great, like any other Mercedes but it will not replace the CLK. It is all a sacrifice to the gods of economy, Mercedes wants to share costs by sharing parts so they get rid of the CLK and introduce the E-Class coupe. I wish they got rid of the CLS before the CLK, I still do not see the purpose of the CLS model. A four door coupe?? Who are they trying to compare to, Nissan Maxima? Come on!!

The car only looks bad from a rear diagonal view. looks big though, anyws its an E coupe now. I wonder if its based on a C class chassis.
