Those offset are too high and will requires you to get spacers. If you get 19's, lowering your car is definitely recommended unless you want the 4x4 looks. 18 can probably get by,

Thanks for the link, lots of good info. I like these babies :P

Just not sure what tire sizes I would need for stock 2003 CLK320 (no suspension mods / lowering / stock breaks) with out needing any spacers or rubbing.
Found some nice Yokohama S.drive tires at www.discounttire.com with $40 rebate. We have put the Yokoham's on my wife's Lexus RX330 and it was a huge upgrade over the stock tires it came with. It now handles so much better then when we got it new.

/\ I bought a set from PowerWheels Pro in the same size and same offset but different style (CLK63 style). I needed new lugbolts from the front and the rear since OEM bolts will not hold the rims tight. You will need at least a 5mm hubcentric spacers for the rear otherwise it will rub against the control arms because the offset is 35mm (too high) vs OEM is 30mm. I use 10mm hubcentric spacers for the rear and I'm running 275 tires.. Your front should be ok w/o spacers... I have like 2mm clearance with my AMG calipers w/o spacers. You can definitely use 225 and 255 tires for these rims, they'll be stretched though. Gluck!

I have the 2003 CLK55 W209. I'm running 245/40 and 275/35 General Exclaim UHP tires. They give me that beefy looks. Many people on here recommend running 235/40 and 265/35 for the width of these rims. I just like a little more tires than the average person. I'm also lowered in H&R sports springs. I'm rubbing in the back when taking hard turns. Gonna need to file down the edge where the bumper and the quarter panels meet. Most of my knowledge I've learned from Klinh btw. He's very experienced in modding the clk

/\ if you go 235 in the front, you should go 265 in the rear. And yes General tires are good for the money. I would also check out Sumitomo HTRZ-3. They're great tires. I had them on for my S2000. Quiet, good grip in wet conditions, and good tread wear.
