Right Xenon Headlight Flickering HELP!!!
While warming up my CLK500 this morning in the garage, I noticed that my right Xenon headlight would flicker then go out for about a second then come back on, flicker again and go out. It kept doing this for about 5 minutes The left one remained constantly on the entire time. While driving, the both headlights we working normally and i didnt once notice the right headlight flickering or going out. Has anyone had this problem or knows what could possibly be the problem? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

ok thanks pat...ill let you know. im going to be taking it in to get the suspension done and custom wheels put on soon so im going to have them take a look at the ballast too. Thanks, Kevin

I am looking at swapping out my suspension with Bilstein PSS10 Coilovers. still debating on the wheels, but right now i am looking at some giovanna forged f5's in black with the chrome lip 20x8.5, 20x10. prolly have to run a 10mm spacer. 5in lip in the back...check it out and let me know what you think...

ps. im trying to talk this guy into letting these go for $1899 shipped. They are an old model and giovanna is selling the 22" version for $1895. How hard of a time do you think I will have fitting these wheels? Im worried about the 5" lip and 40 offset.

I'm no expert, but I saw someone running 20's while maintaining a drop. I'm pretty sure he has 20x10 in the rear, but don't know about his offsets. There was another guy who threw 20's on his W209, but he had it at stock height and it looked kinda funny. At least if you're getting coilovers, you can adjust the ride height. I'd definitely install the coilovers first before throwing on the wheels.

ok great...im actually talking with my custom car guy now regarding the work. ill keep you updated. what I am going to do is buy the wheels and tires and bring them to motor sport and have them do the whole thing at the same time. I just would hate to be ridin on 20s looking like a 4x4 for more than a day. actually ive seem some 209's with 22s on them, but that is alil rediculous

Hey pat...i have a question for you. I just got done speaking with the custom car shop here in chicago. He really wants me to put the CLK on 19" HRE 591R or 891R but at $1200/wheel i dont think I can afford it unless i sacrifice the suspension (from coilover to springs). What do you think I should do? I really like the wheels, but they are expensive. Im kinda stuck in between a rock and a hard place if you know what im sayin. If i went with the coilovers, what wheels should i get? im pretty much off the giovannas, and want 19s and really wanna keep it classy but with a black center/chrome lip, and Im looking to get all the work done at one time rather than going back and forth because im low on funds. HELP PLEASE. Thanks a bunch.

whats funny is since this happened on monday, it hasnt happened again. Im just going to wait until i do my mods and have them look at it too. thanks.
