Finally removed resonator

Finally took my resonator off - damn is it my imagination or did my car get quicker? feels more responsive. In any case it sounds better, another cheap mod I should have done long time ago.

what exhaust do you have? are you getting any droning at any speeds? i was thinking of doing that as well but was not sure because its already loud, and did not want to get a headache from the drone on the highway.i do alot of miles round trip to work.

Quiet until I put my foot down..lol...You don't have to worry about a throaty sound, specially if your just deleting the resonator. Only the big engine guys get that annoying sound sometimes

Resonator delete is an OK mod but removing cats drops the ULEV rating when it's time to get emissions inspection. It does change the values by quite a bit. The secondary cats keep the gases very hot right to the end. replacing with hi flow race cats is a better way to go but really only sees gains in the V8 motored cars. The resonator delete does not provides any gains.

Correct, no real gains just a better sound. I wouldn't have passed inspection but lucky for me the guy who does my inspection is the same guy that does all my work...

Great as i am only interested in sound not really gain.
I was just worried it would be an annoying sound that wouldnt stop!
Would adding K&N air filters make it sound even better or nah?

Looking forward to do this asap than

K&N wouldn't filter wouldn't add any sound. Specially to our small engines

Yea, my mechanic let me know I wouldn't pass inspection before he did the work.

No gains, but my car feels more responsive. Something is defintely different.

I have a Brabus exhaust and there is NO droning on the freeway. You don't even know anyting is different unless you punch it. ANd it's just a little bit deeper.

btw, I might be wrong but I think the AMG cars don't have the resonator. At least the 63 cars don't - I looked under.

Cost me like 40 bucks
