W209 Glove Box Trim - MUST DO -
Hey Guys,
After much research i was finally able to order the Glove Box Trim i been looking for since i got my car. This is a simple OEM mod that really compliments the interior. After much talk with Jerry at formymercedes.com, i was able to order -custom order- a black ash wood trim for my glove box. I fell in love with this glove box trim after sitting in my friends Designo CLK55 and have been looking to do this mod ever since but i've had a hard time finding the black-ash trim. Before contacting Jerry i found two places to order the part: 1) Mercedes Parts (pending i found a VIN# of a CLK55 that was equipped with the black-ash), and if i did so the price was gonna be $150-200 2) Schaetz Tunning $2xx not including shipping from Germany. After a couple emails to Jerry, he was able to take my VIN# and order the wooden trim in the glove box for me. When i got the part i was very pleased. This part was a EXACT MATCH of my wooden trim just like Jerry promised-because he got me a OEM Mercedes part- and the fit and finish was top notch. The installation was simple. There were five steps to the install:
1) 4 bolts in the glove box removes the piece
2) peel the leather piece off the glove box
3) clean off the old gu with Glu-Gone
4) attach the trim and use 3-5 clamps for the edges
5) put the bolts back on and WHAM!
Once again i am VERY pleased with this mod as it's a eye-catcher and really compliments the interior. The BEST part is that it's NOT aftermarket looking because it's not! This is a OEM trim found in Designo CLK55's that compliment the lack-of-wood trim in our CLK's. All in all i would give this product a 10/10 for it's quality and fitment. And most importantly i would give Jerry a 20/10 for his outstanding customer service. I'd recommend this mod for every W209 CLK owner. Jerry can get this part in every wooden trim available.
The Price: is listed on the website, but the price is no where near what Mercedes Parts or Schautz tunning would charge.

Looks great! I also did this mod a while ago through Jerry. He definitely has top notch customer service. I still appreciate the trim every time I open the glove box.
