Resonator Removed finally
Damn the thing is heavy lol and i was looking inside it and there is nothing but steel, no holes or anything. I imagined it very different.
Car does sounds better but its nothing major really. At least i am happy i dont have an annoying sound or w.e.
I asked the shop for a qua exhaust setup and he quoted me at 400 with a flowmaster exhaust and stainless steel tips. He mentioned the flowmaster is a version of magnaflow but a lot cheaper.
I want quads badly and the price seems pretty good...
What do you guys think?
Now of course i have to ask a question in this thread as well:
I read somewhere that after removing the res its good to do a ECU reset
and the steps would be
1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.
2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.
3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.
1: Is the key on position one or two-- ( lights temp fuel level come on)?
2: Do you have to push the little button under the gas pedal while doing this?
Advice for today from me would be: Anyone hesitating to remove his resonator should just do it. Don't be scared of having an annoying sound and dont expect your car to sound like an ///AMG either haha

Find a new shop because that guys is either a liar or a moron. The two are not comparable.
Magnaflow is a stainless steel straight through exhaust
Flowmaster is an aluminized chambered exhaust
The Magnaflow might cost you 40 dollars more - that's it. Neither will help you much for power on a NA car, but I personally would not use a flowmaster (or any other chambered muffler) on a benz.
Not knocking the flows. I have a pair on my 1977 ford bronco.

Really that's it?
I am a total noob in this thats y i belive w.e they tell me haha. But seriously for $40 man thats no gonna make a difference. I will definitely go with the Magnaflow than.
Thanks a lot for the tip.
The guy even offered haha. He said man if we get caught doing this they can fine us $15.000 but if you really want it ill do it and i refused.
Well i guess with the Magnaflow setup it should be fine and loud enough right?

Another option is to put one in the place of the stocker that has an outlet at the same side as the inlet as well as the far side. But then, you would have to wrap the spare tire with the pipe.
My very big question here is this. Can you control sound in this? I mean do all magnaflow exhaust have the same sound or what?
This guy mentioned smth about adding fiberglass or smth like that to change the sound. He said more throatier more aggressive its up to you!!
lost me totally though...
And he mentioned to wrap the pipe around the spare tire so i guess that's the option!
either way your not adding power so...i dont see to point in adding unnecessary weight. haha my 2 cents.
btw if you go with magnaflow exhaust, get that part number so i kno it can fit.
I get your drill about the front wrap though. Less steel to use lol
do you think your gonna use the mag round tips or the amg tips?
I really liked those too but not sure yet...
AMG tips are freaking expensive really cheapest ones i found though are from China

Considering i need 4 lol would add up quick
i just realized the tips are more than the muffler.
