W203 & W209 seats, interchangeable?

Highly doubt if anyone knows the answer to this but thought I'd ask anyways - got some pretty bright cookies on this forum;

Does anyone know if the front seats are interchangeable (direct bolt in) between the C 203 and CLK 209?

If no one knows I'll pull one out of my C and try to fit it in my CLK when I get home.

I was going to put a thread up about it later but I guess asking a question like I did leads to more questions eh?

I'm going to swap my interior out from light tan to black, I found a few written off CLK 350's in Dubai with black interior. However, I'm not going to use the factory front seats, I'm going to put in some leather Sparco seats and I see that they sell the seat brackets for a 203 C class but not a 209 CLK, I'm guessing they will probably work.

What I most likely will end up doing though is removing the bracket and a few motors off the factory CLK seats and mod the set up to fit on the Sparco set so I can retain the front/back & height adjustments.

We'll see, I'll be changing a bunch of other interior things in the process as well.

Damn Kev, it looks like we are on the same wave length for the interior. I was thinking of switching the two front seats to sparc/recaro/status with an Alcantara/CF combo.

Yes, I actually thought about doing exactly that with the black seats but using alcantara for the colored inserts. But, I'm sure I'll go with the Sparco Milano Prestige as they are going to offer a whole lot of support and keep me planted in place on the track.

I have Corbeau seats in my Z34 and really liked them, the Sparco Milano is an amazing seat, I've sat in them and was very impressed. I'm going to look at the black donor interior this weekend, if its in great shape, I'm moving forward.

I'll let you know about the seat bracket after I test fit the C seat in the CLK this weekend.

I would call them and see if someone that works there can send you measurements of how far the sliders/holes for seats/bottom mounting holes are apart. Maybe even send a pic of a direct overhead view of the bracket and then take one of your seats out and determine from there. You know give them the whole "I'm overseas and everything is so difficult and I'm just trying to find a helpful company to give some $$ to" routine. lol

Oh and I have some Neoprene Corbeau Moab's with sliding brackets in the jeep, I'm a big fan, but the neoprene is pretty easily torn. They have seen 2 topless Pensacola Beach summers though, so I can't really expect too much.

Yeah, Corbeau makes a nice seat, I have the two tone (black/grey) mirco suede seats & 5 point harnesses in my track car back home (pics in my album).

After I test fit my C seat in the CLK I'll know for sure if the bracket will work, if not, I'll make my own like I did for my Z34.

LOL! Ya, no kidding if it's anything like the damn stryt bars eh? I think the 203 brackets will work.
