clk 500 problems

I just got a used 2004 clk 500 and about 3 days ago the car has been acting up. I haven't driven the car hard or anything and i don't have a warranty.. what's happening is when i pull out and hit the gas im fine but once i hit 3rd gear it like vibrates my car and feels like its losing power. or like im driving on those rumble things on the shoulder of the road. when i let off the gas and push back down it seems fine. unless im on a hill then it will start doing it again. tranny isnt slipping or anything. no malfunctions on the display. im at a complete loss. i tried resetting the tranny as well with no luck. any help or guidance would be great. thatnks

If you don't have the confidence in DIY then you should take it to your gf's dad. I would feel safer if he had worked on MBs before.

You can get the CRC cleaner at autozone or pepboy . CPS = crank position sensor .

I would start with the basics that Andy mentioned. Those are common W209 problems.

OK so last week i had had the car checked out at a local shop. a squirrel or something built a nest in my airbox.. but that didnt solve the problem.. brought it back and i was told try injector cleaner. they seem to think its not the tranny. i ran seafoam in it and didnt get anything results. so i took it the the benz dealer and they found that where the hire harness goes into the tranny the seal or whatever was bad. got that taken car of and i still am having the same problem. still no check engine light or malfuctions. and I dont think the cps or the maf sensors were checked like i requested..
