MB Factory Sport Suspension

what does sports suspension mean for this model?
is it lower than the non-sport suspension?
does it ride or handle better?
will i see and feel a major difference if i replace them with eibach pro-kit lowering springs?
my fear is losing the smooth ride feeling with my current suspension, will i lose that if i replace them with eibach pro-kit?
thanks for your help/advice/input everyone!
i am curious to know whats the difference in sports suspension....my car doesnt look any lower than other clk's not that i even know if the other car i am comparing to has the same suspension or not....
I posted a thread a while ago, that was difficult to read, showing the way MB determines what spring pads and suspension to use. It was all based on the features and options the car comes with.

Found it. (https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...-you-have.html). Good luck reading it.
I had normal suspension before lowering it. Didn't really check because I threw on H&R springs/Bilstein HDs 3 weeks after I bought it.
and always when you increase handling performance you will always sacrifice ride comfort. although i did lower my car and i dont notice the difference in comfort. yeah a couple of extra bumps here and there.
but my dad said that the car doesnt ride smoothly anymore.
bheng...how do you like your vogtland springs? what was the drop?
how do they compare to eibach pro-kit
but from what i heard, the shocks and struts have a specific setting that is directly correlated to the springs you get. basically there is one setting for each set of springs thats "ideal". but i just go from feel. as of right now, i feel like the ride is nice. firm but soft at the same time.
like i said before, i feel more bumps but meh not too noticeable. my friends dont notice it when they are in the car. they dont even think the car looks lowered but i guess they are used seeing cars being dumped.
but i lvoe my springs. love the height. love the ride. no regrets. 1 finger gap in the rear and about 1.5 finger gap in the front when no one is in the car. i love it. haha
but suspension is kind of a trial and error. expensive trial an error. but it all depends on your liking.
i do have a suspension thread somewhere lurking in this section. gives you a break down of all sorts of suspension for our cars. i compiled it when i was doing research before i bought my set up.
just got kw variant 2 coilovers and really like them. went with coilovers so i could easily adjust the height (and stiffness). my logic was that i would spend a bit more for more flexibility in adjusting my suspension and a better ride. also coilovers installs cost just as much as springs.
