If the car is a 500 or 550, it has an AMG rear bumper. It might be the same as on the clk63 cabriolet. at least it looks the same. the c63 rear bumper is different = quad exhaust.

Advice needed: Spacers for stock 18" AMG wheels

Seems like H&R and Ichiba are good brands to go with. Trying to stay with hub-centric but was told by H&R folks that this is only available on spacers thicker than 10mm. I would think that 5mm would hardly be noticeable.
I'm looking for the widest possible hub-centric spacers for front and rear without having to make mods (ie. rolling fenders).

I would luv to hear from someone who has done this.

Tires are stock size at 255-35-18 rear and 225-40-18 front. Any experience with spacers for this application?

BTW only other mod I intend to do is to add a front lip.
Anyone know what are the max spacers I can put on my 2008 CLK550 with stock AMG 18" chrome wheels?

See pics below of my baby.

Are you lowered or your going to in future? if not then u need not to worry that much about rubbing issues. I myself fit a 20mm in the rear and they sit perfect on my 17s. fronts could prolly go from 10mm-15mm depending on how aggressive you want it to look. where are you located btw.

I'm in Canada. Your wheels are 17's . Will it work the same on the 18's ....u sure ?? No not going to lower the car in the future. I want to do it right the first time with no rubbing issues. I intend to go Eibach or Ichiba.

looking to put a set of 18"s on soon. 18x8 and 18x8.5 in the rears...offset is 35mm all around.

Does anyone know the best tire size for front and rears? My car lowered with H&R springs and Blist. shocks.

I'm looking for the most tire width and height to protect from potholes/bends.

Search this thread and saw someone with 225/40 front and 255/35 rear. I'm guessing 225/40 is fine for the front. Can I go 255/40, 265/40 rears?

i looked into the toyo proxes 4 plus.
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus
the front have 5/32nd thread while the rear still have 8/32nd, the rear should last me until summer time rite? i drive roughly 800miles a month. would the front last me or should i definitely replace them?

Throw a 10mm spacer in the rear and you're good. You might be poking a out little though.

Replace the fronts. Up to you what kind of brand tire, it depends on what type of driving you do.

I'm guessing you probably haven't read the 25 pages of information that are provided in this thread. I could understand if people asked about odd sizes like 19x9+6 f 19x10-0 r since nobody runs stuff like that but those sizes are the norm for a W209.

Those sizes should be good but if you can add a 5mm or maybe even a 10mm spacer front and rear you'll be fine.

You're right, I had only skimmed the thread at that point. I am 19 pages into it now though, and boy, did I learn a lot about Camera lenses

This site is great. Thanks for your post, as well.

No problem at all and hope didn't sound rude when replying. I also like to check out the W203 wheel fitment thread since we share the same suspension given we can run a bit larger tire.

I know a few people have 10s in the back, any special fitment issues? I'd prefer 10 but 9.5 seems to be the norm, does 10 require special offset or anything?
My old CF5 are floating around on the forum for sale off my CLK55. They were 19x8.5ET26 and 19x10ET32. The 10s in back really stretched the 265s. It looked cool on the face but the back of wheel you could tell it was stretched and I could see why it is recommended that 9.5 are run. I never ran into any problems and the original owner ran a 10mm spacer in the back to get it to ET22. Looked extremely flush. My car has coilovers and the big brakes of a 05 55 so it was pretty aggressive. Ended up moving to 9.5s and ET27 and ET26 up front still.
