dual in out muffler

hey guys

finallllyy have time to install the quad exhaust

ive seen various set ups on the forums

but has anybody used a dual in dual out muffler?

I want to do what 2MCHCARs set up is like....with a muffler in the middle of the car....but i want the 2nd cats to connect directly to the muffler instead of it connecting to a 3" Y pipe

I am also wondering what the diameter on the secondary cats are...so I can order the correct inlet for the dual muffler

Thanks

I believe the OEM diameter is 2.25", why do you want to keep the secondary cats?

+1

I just removed my resonator a few weeks ago, and I can confirm the diameter of stock piping is 2.5".

THANKS you guys rock!!!...i'm debating between the 11" versus the 14" long oval muffler....do you guys think 3" will make a difference?
I am mounting it where the resonator used to be

From what I hear, the shorter the muffler the louder it will be...

Correct. The longer the muffler the more surface area the exhaust gasses have to pass over the perforated surface and have sound absorbed. If you don't want to add a lot of volume but rather a nice deep tone, use the longest muffler you can kit under there. I think the one I have in place of the resonator is 18".

Mine is a dual in single out so it won't help you as you want the dual/dual. My first setup was so loud and had such a horrific drone that I added another muffler in the back.

I have an exhaust thread up, AMS/Magnaflow review thread or something it's called... Have a look and read, it might give you some ideas or at least answer a few questions.

Everything inside the cabin resonates and your ears try to commit suicide... Drone is worse than a wife nagging on you, at least you can put yourself in a happy place when she goes at it.
