Problems to put 19inch rim on my 2004 CLK320

I'm considering to change to 19" rims for my w209 clk320, what is the best tire size and offset that fit my car. Is rims size: 19x8.5 front, 19x9.5 rear, tire size: 235/35/19 front, 265/30/19 rear with ET35 fits my car with no rubbing problem??? Can anyone help!!!!!

The tire sizes are correct but the wheel ET is debatable. Here's the problem - an ET35 from one maufacturer may fit where as one from another may not. I have learned from first hand experience that just because the retailer says "yes it will fit", it might not. Front with ET30-35 should be okay if they clear the caliper, rears at ET35 are a good fit and will still clear if you're lowered.

The biggest problem I've had is that some retailers don't have a damn clue what they are talking about when it comes to the products they are selling, buyer beware.

All I'll say is this - I am giving a certain wheel retailer ONE MORE WEEK to resolve my ongoing issue in an acceptable manner, until then, I am staying quiet.

I respect retailers/forum sponsors but I am looking for the same in return.

thx man, if I want to lower my car, shall I only lower the rear or I need to lower both front and rear?? and which way is better to lower the car(minimum harm to the car): change H&R spring or change bilsten shock? or I need to change both the spring & shock

one other thing... it makes a big difference on the brand of tire you use. some brands have very square profiles others have a more rounded profile... like Toyo fro example. you can run a very aggressive tire size with Toyo's like I do where you could not run that same set up in a more square brand like Goodyear or Kumo.
your best bet is to go to a good tire and wheel shop where try will test fit different set ups for you.

actually I'm considering to use michelin tire in size 235/35/19F, 265/30/19R.....I'm not worried about the tire cuz, dealer can help to find the one that fits my car on 19" rim, the only thing I'm worring is the way to lower the car......

Has anyone tried 235/35/19F,265/30/19R, ET35 all around, Bilstein pro-kit(B12) or bilstein SP(B8) coilover system(both spring and shock)with no rubbing issues?(NO Spacer!!!)
