I just ordered my 2004 CLK 320 as well. Lots of luck, it's a beautiful car. I can't wait. I got Brilliant Silver/Ash, Comfort Package, Lighting Package, Moonroof Package, Appearance Package, and CD changer. MSRP is $50,815. I am paying $48,600.

I think I did pretty well.

Good luck.

Question

Hi there

I just came back from test driving (1) CLK500 (2)CLK320 convertibles.

Observations are that they are both beautifully designed cars. Classy and elegant. The 500 has a roar and feels alot more torque than the 320. The shifting is more abrupt in the 500 compared to the 320. Interesting note is that the CLK500 has the same engine used in the E500 and I don't recall having the 'beast' feeling in my E500.

Another note, the dealer states that they cannot go below MSRP on the convertibles. Since I didn't find the car with the options I was looking for, I didn't press on the issue. For those who have gotten W209 convertible lately, were you able to get some room with the pricing?

Thanks in advance

I got my CLK 320 Cab for 54K before tax+license and that pretty good price in the bay area. Sticker was 62K on the car.

If you don't mind, can you list me the options you got for your CLK320cab?

This way, I have a frame work on what to expect when I sit down with my dealer..... sincerely appreciate

GearHead,

I got the heated seat, Bi-Xenons(lighting package), CD changer and floor mats on my CLK320 Cab.

No problem on the pics...I've been meaning to post more but just haven't gotten around to it. I'll do it tonight. I know when I was looking to buy my car and I was searching for pics there weren't to many of the Cabs to see.

Sorry there is no way your CLK 320 cabrio listed for $62k. You just have been cheated.

My wife's CLK 320 cabrio, listed for $59k bought for invoice has way much more options than your car.

548 firemist red $670, 282 ski sack $220, 289 wood steering wheel $510, 352 Command $2,170, 401 Acvite ventilated seat $910, 819 Factory CD-changer $410, 319 Lightening pkg $975, 322 Appearance pkg $1080. Total $59065 for MSRP.

I bought my at invoices because I have bought 2 other mercedes from beshoff within last 3 month.

The list on your car is $53,505. If you paid $54k for the car, then you paid MSRP. Which is a vvery bad deal.

BTW, where did you get your car at ? I know when my wife picked up her firemist CLK320 cabrio, there was a silver/charcoal nearly base CLK 320 cabrio there. I assume this is probably the one you picked up. Invoice on that was $48k.

Niiice... I haven't seen the Firemist Red on a Cab yet. What does your wife think of the car so far?

My wife's CLK 320 cabrio, listed for $59k bought for invoice has way much more options than your car.
I would assume that $59K was before tax and license which would mean you paid about 65K out the door right?

I got mine at Beshoff also but I bought it in Oct. '03. I sure wish they had one for $48K when I was looking. I wonder if it had any options on it? Do you know?

The list on my was $55.5K and I got it $1500 under invoice.

I actually paid invoice. Which was $54k (can't remember exact number). I got close to $6k off sticker.
With lojack, clear bra. and protection film on the top installed , plus tax and all that goodie was about 61k out of door. (not including floor mats, wheel locks, and other goodies for free).

BTW, what options do you have on your car? Based on the description you had previously, those options should not push the car to $62k sticker.

Beshoff had marked up my wife's car to $69k ($10k markup). But I was able to get pretty much everything now at invoices (excep the AMG).

Wow!! you did get a good deal.

Beshoff had marked up my wife's car to $69k ($10k markup). But I was able to get pretty much everything now at invoices (excep the AMG).
The markup on mine was $7.5K and Beshoff was asking $62K for the car. I got them to drop the the markup and the $1500, and throw in the perma plate paint protection. I wish they had given me the clear bra and lojack instead. The clear bra would have work out better because I want to zaino the car now.

Wow

Looks like one can get better deals in your particular dealer in SJ area.

Though I didn't shop around yet, the dealer where I got my E refused to budge ... gave me the song and dance on the CLK cab being so sort after and no discount.

If you see more CLK cabs at your dealership (including the CLK500), pls drop me a note. I may drive up to the Bay Area to shop

Many congrats .... to your awesome set of wheels

Thanks

thank you all. I will try to post picture soon.

If you come by around month end (end of feb). I can get CLK ordered for you through beshoff at $1k above invoices (at least this is what I was told by my salesman). Same holds for stock car. But this makes ordering a car cheaper, because they would waive speical order charge.

Actually, you can call them direct and ask for Richard Qian. Please remember to mention that you were sent here by Mr. and Mrs. Wu. Otherwise they will give you the same BS (sticker, blah, blah, blah).

I was talking to him earlier regarding a CLK55 he has in stock, asked him about the car coming in.

He has a fully loaded firemist red CLK320 cabrio due in 2 weeks, and a silver (already taken). He has two CLK500 cabrio due in a month.

Thanks Mr Wu (my assumption here)

I am working on my wife on this and if she gives the greenlight, will be making some phone calls/emails

She almost went into shock (literally) when I purchased my last car even though it was for her. Can't afford to happen again.

Do you know what options/colors the CLK500 cab has? If you don't, don't worry, I can enquire myself.....thanks a million
