AGM battery

Anybody know if the 2007 CLK550 came with an AGM battery or flooded? My battery is a genuine mb part number 004 541 4501 112 710 302 571
Made by Varta.
This is a flooded battery for sure.
Could it be the original battery?
It finally failed to start the old girl today, had to rob the one from my kids e class.

It's regular (non-AGM) battery
It's really good idea to switch to AGM since you need a new battery

Stupid question - have you checked the level in the cells?
Also, every battery I've ever seen had some form of manufacturer's DATE stamp. I don't see anything like that on top. Perhaps on the side?

This is why I come here, the post has 16 07 engraved on it. 13 years for a battery is pretty good I suppose.
