Personal experience!
Software for NA will not give you a HP gain succifient enough to worth the money you spent.,
you may as well save up on it., and consider something else

Chips on NA cars
Not worth the money or time. You are better off working on the intake air and exhaust path.
If its an AMG, these guys tuned the car well. You can get a little on the air intake, but not that much. The AMG exhaust is very well designed to not limit air flow, but at the same time sound soft.

I am working on pictures. The June gloomy weather sucks!
The supercharger is tuned yet, and needs some custom software. Renntech said that they might be able to help me out, but Im not holding my breath. I may go for a local tuner to properly make this s/c work out.

I can't believe it!! A S/C from AMG that fits the CLK55? THAT IS AWESOME!!! I can wait for the pics. You can at least give us the details now:
1) Model number of unit and what vehicle was it used on
2) Any fabrication work to make it fit?
3) How much boost is it providing?
4) Used/New/Rebuilt?
5) Where did you get ti?
6) How much?

To get back to the origianl question,
my experience with Renntech software has been excellent. Yep, definetly the most expensive. And on a couple of MB's I've had, the only one that showed any improvement at all. No, it's not going to be a bolt-on supercharger for $1000. But is you want imporved drivability and throttle repsonse, it works. Just my .02.

The supercharger was supplied by Renntech a couple years ago before they came out w their own kit. It is available at any dealership if you want to know the price. The model of the kompressor doesnt really matter as long is it was fitted to a 113 v-8 engine. The boost is controlled by the crank pulley more than anything else. I am currently running approx. 6 lbs of boost at peak. The car is not tuned as of yet, so no idea on improvement of numbers. Once the tuning is done, I am hoping for approx. 100 hp rearwheel gain.

They definitely know how software works and know how to modify it.

03' CLK 55 AMG
Hey guys, I think Dan is playing with our emotions. He's getting us all juiced up for nothing. LMAO, nah but for real Dan, where are those pics of your car? No need to clean your engine before you take the picture, just take it. Everyone especially me wants to see a AMG s/c on a n/a AMG. (noobs: s/c = supercharger & n/a = naturally aspirated). I'd show you pics of my car's engine but there's nothing to see, it's bone stock.
