I'm guessing you bought the Gen2. Adding cams and headers are great but there is no ECU tunning from HPS to make it all work. You will have to find your own guy in Chicago to tune your car in person on a dyno.
I have the Gen 1 but I have tweeked a few things on it. When you install the kit you might want to get a before and after dyno to make sure you have the HP and Air/fuel you want. I have 375whp and 390wtq on my kit and it runs with zero problems, but my numbers are high and untypical. Check out my link to see a short video my 210 E55.

You might to do a search on the C55 forum to see what you need to add more power to your ride. What will be the horse power gain on your car 150hp or 125wheel horse power? Your car should make over 400whp, DAMN! My car stock was only 290whp, I guessing yours is around the same 290-305whp. There is a member AMGSC that has your same motor, and he has some real world experience with this kit. Keep us posted on your new mod.

Why are you guys cheering him on? The gen II's Suck! they don't make any where near their promised HP And they cause Engine damage run away from this kit get your money back and buy a Kleemann kit...

I have just gotten a lifter failure 2 weeks ago and so did someone else w/gen II that I can't name yet.
The kits are very unstable and have fuked up air/fuel ratios making for extreme internal temps thus lifter failures.

We've both had are gen II kits nearly the same amount of time less than a year, trust me on this you'll end up regreting this move very badly.

Mario, did you add the Aquamist? I thought you posted your dyno graph and you were making 360 rwhp & 380rwto ??You must've done some more tweeks

I have to agree with you Sean, but I wanted the guy to read the whole C55 thread before I told him about the horrible the system he is buying.
When I bought my Ge I system I wanted so bad to get the super shiny GenII, but I didn't have the money, I was too cheap. Now four months later I'm smiling because my simple little Gen1 works and works safely. The Gen II has a multiple of problems that can't be cured with bigger fuel injectors, pumps, race fuel or ECU tunning. 337whp is all your car is going to get and that is running 7lbs of boost on a 11.0 to 1 compression motor, not the 400whp promised. If you only want 337whp, I would get cams, ECU and headers.
If you put this system on your car you will land up selling CLK55 just like some others are doing and some that will be doing soon.
Hopefully you put this GenII on a credit card so you can return it and don't sign for it when USP or FedEX delivers it.
Sorry for the dissapointing news.

BTW. You are right 360whp was my dyno but after my Maggie had a new rotor and bearing installed it drives much better. I'm guessing I gained 1lb of boost. When I had my car dyno'd at 360whp my blower sound terrible. Even Josh couldn't believe it made any power with the blower sounding as if it was ready to keel over and die. I guess I will find my new dyno numbers on April 15th.

Check this out! hps never delivered on HP gains and this is what you get

Sean,

Our team generated pricing guidelines for your upgrades for your S430 Mercedes-Benz vehicles. From my understanding you purchased a 500 motor and will replace the current 430 motor, along with the HPS supercharger system. We realize there are numerous uncontrollable, variables, factors, and tangibles completing this job. Due to the complexity of this job, a price list has been listed below for you. The pricing may seem high, but this is a custom job. Jesse from Speed Innovation quoted $5,000 for the job. The hardware is justified due to new high flow injectors, smaller pulley (Part/labor) and other components since the 430 is different from the 500. Finally, Mech-Tech and Speed Innovation will require HPS technical support (Bill) which is billed at $80 per hours. (See terms and conditions which applies to all dealers and customers) If you decide to precede with this order, please let us know so we can schedule chip tuning time with Jesse. Since seven other customers have paid and have scheduled time.

HPS pricing for custom job;

$5,000 - Software tuning (7-10 days depending if vehicles all ready scheduled and weather conditions)
$3,000 - Additional components (8 fuel injectors, pulley, intercooler, and additional parts)
$2,000 - Engineering support (Mech-Tech & Speed Innovation)
$10,750 - Total cost plus sales tax. (Do not accept credit cards)

-No HPS warranty since the supercharger system is being transferred.
-Currently seven vehicles scheduled for dyno/chip tuning

FYI: If you continue to post any further personal attacks of any HPS staff members including myself you'll be black-listed forever and we will not assist you in any manner neither will Speed Innovation (Jesse). All parties agrees.

HPS guarantees 135-150 hp and perfect drivability, no check engine lights or engine failures/
I got all of the above - the hp gain, I only got 90 hp

+Adam F. made extermely off color slanderous remarks about my bad knee to other forum members at a meet last year.

If you want the lowest drop get the #1 pads, the dealer may only have the #1, 5mm pads in the 430 model but they will work the same.

You have bigger problems than lowering your car, make sure you read the post i told you about. AMGSC on the C32/C55 forum. Just look for the longest thread. You will learn a lot.

Sean got 90hp but he is guessing because he also never had a third person dyno, he may have less. Most of the 55 motors are only get 20-30 horsepower gains. All the motors have problems but the AMG's seem to have the most.

Kleemann will give you triple the power for 30% more in price and the car will be safe so you can enjoy it for years to come.

Agreed. I've heard 10 bad things to every 1 good thing about HPS on this board. I would never go near them. I've heard great things about Kleemann and while they're more expensive its a superchager for a Mercedes. You're going to get what you pay for.

No longer car shopping...
If your a Benz tech and have the ability to do the Kleeman yourself you should consider looking for one of the ones being pulled of a car someone may be selling. One guy sold one for around $6K (if I remember correctly)
