Post Thoughts on Audi RS5? more pics and article

The new upcoming RS5 is supposed to be one hell of a ride, actually one hell of an all-weather ride at that. Any thoughts? Think anybody would consider this over a CLK?
When the all new CLK comes out in 2 or so years, it'll be way better than the current CLK though. The RS5 will have somewhere over 500 lb/ft of torque, and since it'll be a twin-turbo, 4.2 liter, built V-8, it should be relatively inexpensive and easy to modify the software to get an even bigger jump in HP/Torque right away. And with the Quattro AWD, it should have excellent red-light take-off skills. And with a modified magnetic-ride damper equipped suspension, it should ride well too. Stopping will be great too with the carbon-ceramic brakes.

I love it and it's modding potential will be INSANE! This car should give even the M6 and a modded 5.5L S/C car a run for the money modded heavily when all is said and done IMOP. Great find!
It sure would have been fantastic if they had put this TTV8 in the RS4.

True. The RS5 will certainly not be a twin turbo, though the RS4 is an amazing NA piece of kit.

As regards an Audi V8TT, they may make a revised one but it will be for the forthcoming RS6. Some say it will be a V10 like the S6, others say it'll get a TT V8 similar to the 2003 RS6. Either way, the engine will not make its way down to the compact section like RS5.

I like the looks of it....

....although, as with all new cars, I'd need to see it in person. Example: went to the Benz dealership the other day to look at an ML for the wifie, and, while there, saw a new CL (first one I saw in person, which is odd because when the last one came out, I saw a lot more of them!)....I'd seen it in photos, numerous photo spreads, where it did look nice, but man...in person, it just looks much, much better.

If the same is true of the A5, I'd give it a serious look, in RS form...only gripe I have with Audi is that their marketing stinks. Their sales are way, way up, but they haven't devoted enough energy to raising the perceptions of their cars to a first-teir luxury-sport brand. :inx:

? Actually it just so happened to be alot of Audi news lately

? Actually it just so happened to be alot of Audi news lately. I do not and have not wanted an Audi.

Got most of it from british car sites, they are big fans of new audi news it seems.

And why the attitude man? Thought the forums would be interested to see what the competition is up to. Guess some people downright don't like it period.
