"I" didn't put it on. I bought the car used and it was previously at the Beaver Toyota lot in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It was put on with double-sided foam tape, so taking it off was easy. Wife is glad it is gone.

A friend said he saw a good one the other day, an SL500 or 550 with SL65 and AMG on the trunk, but on the side it had V8 Kompressor badges! The only thing worse than a poser is a really stupid poser!

It would be interesting to me to see what these people that re-badge their cars 'AMG' wear on their wrists. For sure there is an array of ROLEXX & BREITLINC watches lol. Their girlfriends also have nice COAGH bags and GUGGI wallets.

I was on I-95 today between D.C. and Philly and saw a "S550 AMG" heading north. As far as I know (limited to the AMG site - there is no S550 AMG). Rain, lighting and distance prevented me from getting a shot with my phone. I'm assuming there is no such animal as a S550 AMG and it was a poser, please let me know if I'm wrong or right in pointing at him and laughing.

I sell cars at a benz dealer and there is a former professional football player who has a G55 that's often in for it's "regular" 2k mile "service" (it is a G wagon, after all). Nice car, right? Well, in addition to his spinner 24s and pep boys chrome trim everywhere, it also has V12 Bi-Turbo badges behind the front wheels as if to say G65. I think next he should get McLaren badges from the SLR.
