I apologize for the cold remark, you are absolutely correct they sale non AMG cars with AMG body kit and wheels, but deep inside you would know that under the hood is not an AMG hand assembled motor. The looks are their with performance missing in the equation! No offense, no disrespect to all non AMG owners, maybe go with a renntech or brabus

I'm from NewYork but my current location is Switzerland. I plan on moving back to the states within the next year or two. I just got back from a trip to L.A. actually was staying in Malibu and I fell in love with the west coast so I will most probably make my way there and find a nice little aprtmnt.

If you are familiar with the Affalterbach facility you would know that there are 45-50 engine assemblers.
Each man ( one man-one engine) assembles 2-3 engines per day.
Don't think that they soley use hand tools as there are production jigs that are able to torque all the head bolts at one time.
Is there a quality difference between an AMG and a fully automated Merc production line build, the answer is most certainly.
AMG due to volume doesn't retain the cache that the pre merger one off builds had ( with the exception of the Black Series ), but still the AMG variant will hold value more then a standard production Benz.
