Haven't had time to put this up but this was from a few weeks ago when I was heading down to Eurocharged-DC and this BMW poser had me dying laughing, it was a Chevy Cavalier and he even had the BMW Badge & License Plate Frame.... lol

tw2 - All CLK cabs came with single muffler dual exhaust. Reason was they had to move spare tire and gas tank to make room for the convert top in the trunk space. My 2006 CLK55 AMG (last production year) has single muffler dual exhausts. MB replaced the CLK55 with the 63 in 2007.

Why waste your time and emotions?
New to MB, but had my fill of guys with BMW "M" pretenders. It used to bug me but then I just stopped caring.
I mean...anyone who knows the provenance of an AMG or M series will not be fooled. Anyone who doesn't notice the joke wouldn't have been impressed anyway.
Also, I wouldn't bother calling anyone out on it. They KNOW already, and if they are unstable enough to stick on improper badging I wouldn't want to push any psycho buttons.

Pushing psycho buttons is what I was born to do. I don't know if I'd ever call anyone out in person that's just around town, in parking lots or at gas stations and such, but if someone shows up to a car meet such as Cars & Coffee or a rally like Automobili Exotica here in Colorado, they should know better. And I would definitely take the opportunity to point out how stupid they are to do so in the presence of people that know the difference between what is an AMG and what is not.

I am in no hurry to sell the car nor is there any issue with the car, in fact it has been a very reliable car and very well taken care of since day one, the owner before me was a Mercedes enthusiast, as am I. Everywhere I go everyone is always looking at the car and thinks its brand new, I get a lot of compliments.
Insurance has it valued at $17,000 (that would be the payout if the car was a total loss)

Well since you all have nothing else to do but criticize someone's car online instead of doing something with your lives, I contacted MBNA when I first bought the car and had them run a VIN search, because all VIN decoders online are generic and do not give you complete details. Just like the Giorgio Armani designo edition which they only made 100 of in 2004, MBNA could only find 100 of my specific car along with 100 of the same exterior with the navy blue/black interior. Yes I put an AMG license plate frame on my car, big deal, but you are all mistaken, in fact it is an AMG with the AMG kit and rims dubbed the AMG appearance package option when ordering the car OEM from the factory, the exhaust is correct with the single tip exhaust and the only dual tip exhaust which came on the 2004's was the CLK55 which had on the exhaust tip AMG. 2005 started the dual exhaust tip on the CLK500's. Feel free to search the web and try to find my car anywhere in the world and then criticize me, I did my homework when I bought the car, so there you go "bro"....
In response to someone emailing me saying its not an AMG...In fact you are incorrect, MBNA did say it was an AMG going through the AMG factory in Affalterbach, all though not fully assembled in the AMG factory, it still went through there making it an AMG by MB and MBNA.
Also....I did not add the AMG badge, it came with the one owner car which came from Fletcher Jones originally and the only thing added was the plate frame

We should actually feel sorry for this guy. I imagine that at some point he may have actually owned an AMG and bought custom plates for it (first mistake). But then he probably fell on hard times and had to sell it, but decided to keep the existing plates to save a few bucks.
Every time he looks at the plates on his Toyota it reminds him of better times. Sad.

I spotted an AMG imposter the other day, It looked like a 210 but he spotted me an started to drive it like a c63. I chuckled at first but remember driving my turbo 124 but never wanted to rebadge it.
The AMG emblem was an E-bay add on not level at all and the car had standard issue wheels and tires.
I wave to other Benz owners but in this case I would have just laughed.
