perhaps what you're really referring to is the little plastic AMG logos that always end up broken on the seats?!?!???! I am sorry, I'll stick with my seats that don't break....or the little logo on the tach? lol i upgraded to AMG for the power and quickness, not silly logos and plastic emblems that fall off due to bad design.....reminds me of the abc system....i just want the amg boot badge because im proud of my drivetrain, just like anybody else who wears the amg badge. i am not somebody wearing an amg badge with a stock displacement powered drivetrain. the differences between the cl500 and cl55 are very minimal and tedious at best

so say what you will, in my eyes i saved myself 4k by doing an engine/tranny swap instead of just buying the cl55 amg. which by the way isn't insured by as many insurance companies since it's branded amg(common reason for engine swap in american cars)....ALTHOUGH this wasn't even my plan to begin with -

somebody put bleach and dirt in my gastank so my old m113 cl500 engine developed a loud "lifter noise" that was quite unpleasant for a mercedes, so instead of replacing the valvetrain i decided to go AMG since it's the same car otherwise...

edit:not only did i save myself money buying the cl500, and by not fixing the valvetrain (very tedious work) but i got to upgrade to amg in the process. so like i said, suck on my nuts son!!
I agree actually with what you are saying! Good job buddy!

BTW, how do you like my CLK55 AMG?

She is a pretty girl for sure! Is your 63 naturally aspirated? I was wondering how you liked the performance of your 63 compared to the 55 engine?

Non US spec ones did for the W208 style.

BTW Ahmed, love the color combo. It's very rare. Are those stock wheels or did you swap?

Seems like quite a few of us are not die hard MB fans here which is kind of a relief to the posers! LOL.

No insult intended gentlemen!

I wouldn't know, because my CLK was a 320 not a 55.

I found it very fitting to post those pictures in this particular thread because once upon a time, I was a poser myself. So I know the game and I know the excuses that came with it!

I don't care how hard you try, if it didn't come from tehefactory with an AMG badge on it, you have no right to put one on if you really appreciated the brand of car you're driving.

Front parking sensors, there was one in the back top liner as well.

congratulations we are happy you put an amg badge on your stock 6 cylinder, i was trying to be polite by complimenting your car....there's a big difference between "an engine/tranny swap" and "claiming it's an amg and you just putting random badges on your car that don't even match the engine"......please do not confuse us to be one in the same. i also realize i am probably dealing with a bunch of right wing conservatives who wouldn't dare touch their precious car besides to change a simple pulley or air filter so i understand if the concept of a drivetrain swap might be a little beyond your mental capabilities. so like i said, carry on with your plastic emblems and such

i really can't tell if you all are just ****ing with me or just extremely thickheaded

I do now, I didn't back then!

I grew out of it, matured and saw the light! And got myself a real AMG!
Now I just pass on my wisdom to others who make the same mistake I did.

So it's almost like you're changing out the drive-train. Fascinating.

What is that box at the back of the engine that uses gearing ratios for power transmission to the wheels? What would you call that?

Passing down wisdom? All you're doing is explaining how you put amg badges on a stock 6 cylinder lmao. Not only did you pretend to have an amg but you also pretended you had a v8...

You guys are more clueless than I thought, the box on the back of the engine is a flux capacitor. You guys really need to start working on your own cars instead of paying other people to do it and maybe you'd know something
