looking for wheels

i am looking for a nice set of staggered wheels. 18's or 19's preferred. if they were amazing i could let go of $2500 otherwise my budget is about $2000. if you know anyone that is selling wheels have them IM me. also not really down with chrome, black, or gold. my car is silver.

hey, I have a great set of rims for sale. I was going to use them on my C55 but they did not fit. They came from a CLK55.

Let me know if you have any questions..........

i know the offset for the w209 is 35 but what are the parameters. i am not very sharp when it comes to offsets. if the number is higher does that mean i will have more break clearance or less. which number direction indicates that the wheel will be pushed farther out towards the fender (high or low)?

Low

means more out, high means more in.You need to strike a balance between the two.http://www.1010tires.com/tech.asp
18's will give you a better ride quality and performance.

are you going to lower it?

no one should use chrome,it chips, flakes, and leads to air leaks. You will also notice most chrome wheels only have a one year finish warranty and that does not include damage.
so wise choice to steer clear of it

yeah never been a big fan of chrome. i have always gone with an 18" wheel in the past. but i want to step it up a bit for the AMG. i know that 18's are better overall in terms of ride quality, accerleration, and top end. but this is not going to be a track car. it will be the occassional canyon carver but will serve me mostly as an everyday city/highway cruiser.

i do have some coilovers and spacers. so the higher offset should not hurt me too bad.

thanks for the info.

i am pretty sure i found my next set of wheels in vegas. 19" three-piece forged monoblock Leon Harderitt's Ritters. they look really sick and were just refinished. i am picking up this weekend with tires.
