04 CLK55 shaking when idling

Hello everyone. I have 2004 CLK55. I feel the car is a bit shaking when it is at idling. Is it normal?? If not, does anyone have similar problem??

Check your spark plugs.

If the rpms are stable its not the plugs. Could be the engine mounts are shot?

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Ditto

plugs would throw a misfire code generated by the cps.P0300 code range.
Check motor mounts per Jon and also trans mount.
You may want to scan for pending misfire codes even if they have not shown up yet with your obd2 scanner.

E320CDI, CLK55, and a Smart
Air mass sensor might also be a probability.

Maf

will throw codes also if out of range or failing.
go to http://www.harborfreight.com/
if you have one near you and pick up the 94169 obd2 scanner for $60 and plug it in to be sure no pending codes show up,then inspect the above mentioned mounts.
http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro.../Motor%20Mount
trans mount 18 bucks

I had the same problem. Took it to 2 dealerships and talk to 2 foremen, they both said it was normal for AMG vehicles to idle rougher than normal Mercedes cars. The last dealership said he would increase the idle 75rpms to help it out. Motor mounts were fine and no codes.

However, from the information I gathered here it could be the MAF sensor or the air filters. I tried pushing the dealerships to replace them but it wasn't working. I plan to do it myself in the near future.

16 bucks each at autohausaz.com clean your maf with crc brand maf cleaner for 6 bucks, inspect his mounts. If shaking enough at idle to bother him it is more then the off idle balance issue in the 55 engine.
