Dyno'ed my Stock CLK55

I went to the Eurocharged open house and decided to run my 01 CLK55 on the Dyno. Awsome shop and staff btw.

This is a dyno dynamics dyno, so I was told to expect results about 16 percent lower than a dynojet.

For comparison purposes. On this exact dyno, a stock SRT-6 put 251whp, a stock E55 put down 360 something, and a 94 Twin turbo supra, with exhaust, intake, intercooler, put down 300whp.

Here are my results. Bone stock down to the original paper filters.

263whp and 304wtq.

or circa 305whp and 352wtq on a dynojet.

I also got the CLK55 tuned while I was there. However, we ran out of time as the weather started to get sketchy. So I am going back tuesday so the tune can be finalized. I will hold off on the tune results untill i get the finish product.

Just thought I would share.

263-269 is normal for W208 CLK55 AMG Dyno dynamics, those are healthy numbers. Adjusted for 22% loss you are right at 337HP & 389TQ. So you are down 5HP stock but up 13tq. Whats the mileage on the car? Perhaps a good tuneup may help (spark plugs & wires as well as new primary O2 sensors). Do you have a copy of your air/fuel ratios? I have a feeling your ECU may be pulling timing, perhaps fouled plugs or dirty fuel system. Also what was weather like?

Try running 1 can of seafoam in the gas tank to clean up the fuel system, that should get most of the gunk out and regain those few lost HP.

Nice work, glad you chose the DD dyno, should make for some accurate dyno comparisons in the future.

I have some of the service records on the car.

Currently the car has 38,000 miles.

Spark Plugs were changed at 31,000. As well as the fuel system was checked and a new fuel filter and belts at the same time. However, it still has the original air filters, in it as their sevice interval is 60k. I plan on swaping these out for K&N's.

I don't have a copy of the afr's but if I remember right, it was sitting around 12 or so.

The weather was 88F and 43 percent humidity.

You may want to consider new engine air filters. The mileage spec is 60,000, but the time spec is every 4 years.

Thanks for sharing the info. Clean filters will probably help or like you said put in some K&Ns. What gear did you do your dyno in?

Its running a bit rich, and the power curve is a bit rough. Your filters are probably clogged up. Ya, Go with a set of K&N filters, that should fix your problems. hope that helps.

NP. Hopefully I can get some 1/4mi times in soon as well.

It got dyno'ed in 3rd I believe.

Too be honest I expected my whp to be lower after what I saw that supra dyno at. I have been in that car. And it hauls. And the SRT-6 that put down only 251whp ran 13.1@107.xx stock. So I guess it is all relative.

KandN's will be going in after the tune for sure. I don't want the tune results to be skewed.

Solid results....TQ seems out of whack for a stock 55 tho....NEVER seen one dyno that high.

My dyno results are in my sig. Get some 1/4 runs in when you can as those #s will confirm what the dyno is saying.

Thanks. There was no "spiking" in the dyno run. And each run seemed to trace itself almost.

Did you dyno with your 17's on?

1/4 mi runs for sure. Just don't know how good I will hook with the PS2 a/s's.

One of life's moments, I suppose...

.....two measly hp.....

BTW, I would expect Zal's CLK-beast to be that or higher since he clipped me by 0.1 second on every run we did at the drags down in Louisiana. Of course, I blamed it on the spare tire and other crap I had in the trunk!

My personal best on stock 17s is 103.349 @ 109.00. On 18s I've run a tenth or two slower.

My 60' is usually 2.1 or 2.2 seconds; just no traction from a stop.

I'm guessing you mean 13.349???

I am the SRT-6 that had the 251 on the dyno dynamics. Which was actually 252.6 but hey who's counting.

...and yes my best is 13.12 @107.xx stock.

but the 252 is about right, seeing a 30% drivetrain loss on the dyno dynamics.

If I hit a 109 trap I will be happy. I rather run a 13.9@109 vs a 13.0@105. lol.

My bad didn't mean to rob you of your 1.6hp.
