208 crash safety
So considering a 208 AMG, sort of concerned about the crash safety. The W202 I know is not the best in accidents so I'm wondering about the 208 CLK. Also the lack of curtain airbags makes me question the safety as well. Thoughts?

There was a young man killed several years ago who drove a 208 (vehicle was in a rollover accident). He was a member of this site, but IIRC was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. Despite the horrific crash, the pics of the passenger cell of the car looked good - meaning he may have survived if he had been restrained.
Go over to wrecked exotics if you want some pics of CLK crashes. I mean, nothing is going to save you at 150mph, but for such a small car, the crash structure is very very good.

How about my 01 CLK55 with 43k on it? I can work on price a little.

The CLK55 got a good rating on the offset test. Which is the highest. I can't see it doing bad in the other tests. But you are right, the data is absent.
