Got my DAS system up and running today.
Pretty powerful tool for troubleshooting.
No codes, only one old stored fault shown below.
I ran the DAS fuel evap system check and all OK.
So deleted this stored fault.
1 stored fault as follows:

Did not see anything from DAS explaining why LTFT's are high, so possibly it's just my tune.
I did come across the adaptation values for low range part load @ 1.19 on each side which seems to correlate with my LTFT's @ 19/19.

I'll hit Cory up next week on if this is something to be concerned about, or just run as is. I know in boost (mid/upper) revs I've good AFR 11.7-11.9 across the board so I'm not afraid of hurting the motor.

Kev - Getting a DAS setup is a MUST for anyone wanting to keep these things runnings without paying shop rates.

You can see timing real-time.... which I'm hoping to data log via vid cam on a run soon along with rpm, and AFR.

There are a host of diagnostics you can run on just about every system on the car. Very cool.

Another thing to add my car was losing power after 5500 miles since all the mods were installed.... I found the plugs were pretty fouled.
If you have a klee car, you might want to check the plugs after a few thousand miles to be sure they are in good shape.
Mine were pretty fouled and dark. The new plugs gapped at .027 woke this thing back up again after only 5500 miles.
I plan to check these in another 1k miles to monitor condition of cyls and tune.

Guess I should look into it then. As for the plugs, I was shocked to see that Kleemann recommends them to be changed at EVERY service interval but after reading about yours after 5500 miles I guess it makes sense.

Thanks for continuing to share your info!

On the little red plate they send along with the s/c kit, it's supposed to be mounted in the engine bay, it'll post a pic of it if you didn't get one. Has a few bits of info on it;

Spark plugs
Lambda at idle
Lambda & AFR at WOT
Fuel pressure at idle
Service intervals

The plate part number is 010 111 00 01

Spark Plugs
I pulled my spark plugs after 4000 miles and I was also doing a Oil change. I thought they all looked Great . Gap opened up .003 , The edges were still sharp. The color was a tad brown on cyls 1 thru 7 , Then the dreaded cyl #8 was right on the button / edge of what I like to see for color.
Off this subject Hami , I watched your MIR video run. You Need to get your ECU & TCU remapped . UGH awl-full shift delays & Hiccups
Cheers _PTEngineering

That's what I'm talking about! Do you also have development mode too? Please PM me where you bought your setup!

Are you saying that Kleemann recommends the plugs will need to be changed every 5K miles? Wow, I guess I better learn how to do it ASAP! You gentleman have me worried.

Spark Plug change intervals
Here is my take , This plate ( RED ID Plate ) was written back before double platinum Tip & J strap Plugs or Iridium plugs. If you look close at the Pictures , At 4000 miles this are perfect to go to 10.000 miles

DAS - Yes I have dev mode. You can fleabay a complete system for under $500. There is a guy selling an entire setup w/ the T30 lap top on here for $500.

PLUGS - Mine were funky looking, fouled dark. I'll pull these after 1000 miles and see what's what. My car totally woke up again after new plugs. Idles better, pulls harder. I suspect I'll need it retuned at sea level. Also remember my plugs are the original set that was installed by MW and run for a few hundred miles and several dyno pulls with the cams installed a tooth off! DOH.... so my funky plugs could be from that episode of brilliance.

These plugs saw:
Original dyno runs with cams off a tooth.
Several hundred miles with header nut missing or loose.
Loose MAF housing.
You get the drift.....

Changing Plugs - 2mchair - easy to change plugs..... and it's good to get to know your ride. Super easy: remove air filter boxes, then I remove 4 plug wires at a time on one side (to keep them in order), then pull 4 plugs at a time, to gain access you can unbolt the coils and lift out of the way, install new gapped plugs .027" - .03"..... I cleaned up my valve covers after installing new plugs. Also when reinstalling the plug wire boots, be sure to listen/feel for the "BUMP" or "SNAP" when they engage. It takes some effort, but the results are worth it. The plugs are a real gage of the health of your comb chamber. We do plug chops AT WOT on our high perf jetskiis to tune them to the ragged edge.

GL.

Can you be more specific on where to purchse the DAS system you are speaking about for $500, it sounds like a good think to invest in. Thanks.

Kleemann brothers - I've got the car going in tomorrow morning for interior work and I need to find a medium or large Kleemann logo with lettering online. I've been scouring the net and have only found small images. Anyone have a medium or large one on file?

Thx.

It can

The interior is going to be a 2 part job, tomorrow I'm having the trim refinished in silver to match the aluminum accents and gauge bezel, then having a little Kleemann logo work done. The second part will be upholstery and embroidering.

Found one! Actually ended up using 'Kleemann sticker' as the search phrase and found a decent sized graphic with letting on eBay of all places.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming...
