Performance figures for Technik CLK55 intake manifold
[all figures are RWHP...crank figures are adjusted 20%]
After the install today, the car had a best run of 297.1HP(371.3HP) and 309.8ft.-lbs(387.3ft.-lbs) to the wheels, compared to my best base run a few weeks ago of 282.6HP(353.3HP) and 301.8ft.-lbs(377.3ft.-lbs) of torque. So fore/aft results are a net gain of 14.5HP(18.1HP) and 8ft.-lbs(10ft.-lbs). Please keep in mind that my car does not have catalytic converters and therefore is not producing as much overall power as a stock CLK55. A CLK55 with catalytic converters will see even bigger gains. Watching the CLK55's computer adjust the air/fuel ratio was a thing of beauty. The first run, the car put down a dismal 255.7HP, but with each ensuing run, the computer kept tuning the proper air/fuel ratio to accomodate the increased airflow of the intake manifold and eventually topped out at 297.1HP...German engineering is unparallel. Nice to see there is A LOT of HP left in this engine...will have more figures after the cam/head package. Also for a few runs, the governor happened to be in a "good mood" and unleashed the CLK...happy to report it almost hit 200MPH on the dyno (198 to be exact). This car is absolutely amazing![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Hm.... how come no cat would net you more power than with a cat?
I thought taking out the cat would improve exhaust flow? If running without a cat decreased your power, why'd you take it out?
Just curious.

very cool!
way to go!
My best runs at the wheels where: Max Power 294.5 @ 5900
Torque 314.0 @4500 using the K&N drop ins & stock rims / tires. You're running 18s? right? That will pull your numbers down some I believe.
So hard to tell different dynos / wheel combos - but a pick up is a pick up
!!!
PLEASE post pics and pricing. Does the setup use stock filters or is it a CAI (Cold Air Intake) setup.

The intake manifold is of our own creation. We port/polish the intake runners, enlarge the intake plenum and modify the internal runners to help increase aiflow velocity and create a "ram air" effect. Cost is $1499 for a complete unit without core exchange or $599 w/ core exchange...$300 for installation (4 hours....core exchange takes 1 day for modifications). We are located in Beverly Hills.

Samir,
Would this unit work on my 02 430? I thought If this can be done for my car please let me know. You can email me at blueclk@aol.com or post it here, the info might be helpfull for others.
1.) How long does it take to complete the process?
2) Do you provide any type of warranty?
3) Could I drive down and have it down since I am in Michigan?
Thanks
dan

In answer...
1.) How long does it take to complete the process?
>The actual removal/installation takes ~ 4 hours. If we modify the existing unit, then we require one day for machining.
2) Do you provide any type of warranty?
>Yes, we provide a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty on the manifold if we install it, or a 1 year 12,000 mile warranty if installed by a different technician/shop. If installed properly, this manifold will never fail.
3) Could I drive down and have it down since I am in Michigan?
>Most certainly, however, to save you the trip, you could either purchase a new manifold or send us your stock manifold...then have it installed by a Mercedes technician locally.
