Brake Upgrade
Is fitting SL brakes a wise decision? Most people just tell me not to bother...
and lots of people told me that it's gonna throw away the balance of the car.
I have 2004 CLK55 and I would like to hear your thoughts on this.

Inetresting ...
I took the Russel High performance driving class at Sears Point (Infinion) raceway and cooked my brakes despite following using the cooldown periods. $$$ so :-(
So this might be a good idea. If for nothing else, I commend you for appreciating that a CLK55 can get from slow to fast very, very quickly; and from fast to slow only very quickly. For handling a good road course or merely surviving owning a CLK55 -- and lets face it, they are safe but we may tend to pust the envelope in them, getting brakes that get you from fast to slow very, VERY quickly sounds like a good idea to me.
In the reply editor right now I cannot see where you are at, but if it is close to the SF Bay area let me buy you a bear sometime.

How's movit brakes?
They came out with 6 pisoton CNC billet calipers with 370x32 in the frount and 342x35 rear with 4 piston CNC billet caliper.
This is a special order... what do you think? are they good?

here is an interesting break-upgrade from a german BMW driver.
he used the 8piston claw from SL55 AMG and Porsche GT2 disks for his BMW M3! extraordinary job.
