there is an awesome black one in the dupont registry with only 1000 miles and an asking price of 91k. if only it were white
If it weren't for the fact the wife would chop me in two if I spent another cent on autos and the fact some guy on here just paid 72k for that low miler one I'd be down there in a flash...very striking car.

I'm curious; doesn't the dealership usually get kickbacks if you finance/lease on site through them? If so, why would they care if you financed it vs. paying cash for it? Seems to me, they would want you to finance it b/c it's more $ for them? Either way, they get their money. The only upside for the dealer is there is no issue about whether the buyer will qualify if they have a bag full of $. Am I wrong here?
When I sell my cars inevitably somebody throws the "what's your price for a cash deal".... I don't usually say but my first thought is, what do you think I'd take..... marbles?

You are right as regards financing Chuck....when I bought my M3 I told the dealer I was taking their financing rate (something ridiculous like 7%). I then changed to "cash in full" at the last minute, number had been agreed...salesman wasn't too happy but since i was a returning customer after four years they knew not to even try and play games back with me.
Possibly with Laguna Niguel they prefer the cash up front, or perhaps it was just the one guy I spoke with. FWIW, I prefer to pay cash in full when I can as I'm no financial whizz and it's one less thing to worry about....

BTW, were I in a position to buy one of these cars right now it would have to be black or white...you chose very well
