You're right, (can you ever hear that enough?) the blown airbag in the door is a giveaway. It looks like an EU background though.

Prolly going to need a frame jig on this one. If it's a barrier hit he was going at least 25mph. If it was a car then about 14-16 mph for bag deployment.

Noticed that BS are going for around 100k euro's.

It looks like the typical racing barrier hit with the vehicle swapping ends after the first hit.

It pains me to look at these again..... Did any other market get a car with US specs? Guess someone could have exported a US car back to Germany. Was there a price advantage to doing that?

Chuck,

I was going to bring my black out to geneva but have decided against it as I have too many toys out here now. Importing into Italy and Switzerland is straight forward with the toughest part being the smog test but there is a way around that ($$$ tip to the tester as worked a couple times now).

Now that car is staying in the US, I found a secure climate controlled place in Vegas. It only gets expensive when you factor in the gambling part...!

Before Greece went bankrupt and the Euro took a dump, it was a great deal to buy US spec cars and ship them back to Europe. It has been happening to alot of Z8s from the US. The exchange rate was $1.62 to 1 Euro less than 2 months ago. Now its $1.20 +/- to 1 Euro.

I am pretty sure that is a US spec car in Europe being driven by an unlucky driver. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys. I've actually sold two vehicles to overseas buyers in the last couple years. Sold a Cayenne GTS to a guy (gansta) in Russia and a 1400 mile 928 to a guy in Munich for the reasons you guys mention. Guess it happens more than I realized.
